I Keep Seeing A Lot Of Modern Au Edward Ideas Where People Completely Erase His Disability By Replacing

I keep seeing a lot of “modern au” Edward ideas where people completely erase his disability by replacing his prosthetics with tattoos, so here’s a new headcanon I have:

Modern Au Edward would slap stickers on his prosthetics. I mean like little skulls or gargoyle stickers he bought off red bubble or something, and you know he stuck em on there good. Winry definitely yells at him every time she notices he’s slapped another one on there.

I do also think Ed would have tattoos, but replacing BOTH of his prosthetics with tattoos just erases his disability

once i watched fullmetal alchemist i started to find references for it in just about every fandom i've ever been in, no matter how obscure the fandom is

Sooo anyone have fanfics of 2003 Ed meeting Brotherhood Ed?

I like to think that at some point Ed got bored and decides to become a professor at some big name Amestrian college. 

   His specialty is a military funded class called Battle Alchemy, which he starts off by inviting any of his students to beat him in hand to hand for a conditionless passing grade (by the end of the first class, most students walk away sore and horrified).

    It takes half  the semester before they realize that Ed continues to beat them even when they use alchemy and he does not. They ask to see him use alchemy in battle. The next day, a man who looks almost the same as their professor shows up to class- he’s softspoken and polite, and the students expect a substitute lecture. Ed sits in the stands and laughs as Al proceeds to fight the entire class at once, and beat all of them. The students never ask again.

  (And sometimes, in the middle of practicals, students swear they can see the Fuhrer watching from the edge of the field.)  

   I can also see him causing a hell of a problem when it comes to conventional textbooks- 

  “This is definitely wrong.” 

  “Sir, this is the most recently updated textbook for theoretical alchemy-” 

 “Yea fuck that, I can prove that soul alchemy isn’t unviable- someone hand me some chalk, I’m about to commit a mathematical felony.”  

I'm gonna draw them h*ld*ng h*nds.. Very scandalous I know.

Jokes aside I agree with this 100%. They're very silly. Or the polycule ship or Paninya, Lanfan, and Winry; I've seen that ship and I'm in no, I think the term is qualms?, about it.

In light of this post I may actually draw Lanfan and Winry, idk yet. I've never doodled Lanfan before.

thinking about how edward elric's definition of humanity almost entirely depends on what makes more for a less painful truth. the slicer brothers have to be human, because otherwise that means ed basically killed his brother and replaced him with a fake.

but on the other hand, Sloth can't be human, because otherwise that means ed and al basically desecrated their mothers corpse and rebirthed her into the world as a monster who hates them
