Tangent 2 time yippie!!

A Wrath merch (This is a pic of @fma-merchandise 's 2004 Bandai Wrath keychain that I made into a transparent image!) This is probably the only physical Wrath merch that isn't a pin, card, poster, or cloth - this is the only "figure" of sorts. And I'm not talking about it bc I hate it, I actually love it and desperately NEED one.

But I'm confused. Why does his tag have a large question mark, is he not considered a homunculus? I mean, it would make sense for him not to, considering he can do alchemy (Meaning he'd have a soul or at least part of one - I theorize that Ed's limbs contain part of his own soul and since Wrath has them that he has part of Ed's soul.), he takes a while to regenerate even though he eats the same red stones Lust, Envy, and the other homunculi eat, and he has his original remains part of his body!

Before I get critized for my thoughts or whatever, because Wrath is still apart of the homunculi group - Lust and Envy both only have the ouroboros as their marking on their tags in this line of merch!! And you can't tell me that it's because the design is Wrath before remembering, BECAUSE IT SAYS THE NAME WRATH RIGHT THERE!!!!! :(

He's obviously a homunculus, I know. But maybe he's considered a lesser homunculus due to his traits? I mean, it could make sense from what little we are shown of how he's treated by Dante and the other homunculi - I will never forget how terrified he and Gluttony looked when Dante arrived with Rosé in ep 44.

I think Sloth and Lust get treated horribly tbh, don't get me wrong - they're the worst treated because of how Dante views them ; But I think all the homunculi get it bad (save for Pride, and since Sloth is "obedient" she doesn't get as much rough treatment as.. Say, Wrath, Gluttony, and Lust.). And since I'm focusing on Wrath currently, just. He gets it really bad, along with Gluttony.

But maybe part of the reason is because he's different from the other homunculi - in a sense "more human" since he has a human's arm and leg that allow him to do things homunculi can't; Dante already tries to tell him that Sloth can't be his mother since homunculi don't have anyone in a maternal nor paternal sense (Something she might of drilled into Envy, which is why they call her their master rather than mother or something of that equivalent - the same for not calling Hoenhiem their father; WHICH they did do in ep 51, but that was only after changing their form to Ed.), she tries to dehumanize all the homunculi a lot.

I lost the rest I was gonna say, fuck. My point is that Wrath 03 is silly and I will make sure y'all don't forget him.

If the other characters do not have a question mark and only Wrath does, there is a pretty good chance that it is because he was the “secret.” Lots of random blind (can’t see what you’re going to get until you buy it and open it) goods and toys in Japan show all the characters you could get when you buy one on the back of the package, except for the “secret,” which they just show as a question mark.

Hiiii! That's what I was thinking originally but then I saw the Envy one and then saw the packaging - leading me to have a contradiction to that.

This is the packaging to (at least) the 2004 Envy Bandai keychain, and usually on blind-bags and whatnot it says secret where the secret character is - because it's a secret, you wouldn't know what you're getting.

But, if you look at the packaging, Wrath is right there at the bottom! I think Ed's actually the special character to get when it comes to this set, but I'm unsure of this information. And furthermore, you can see that each character's tag has something that correlates to that character, but Wrath's is a question mark.

Oh yeah speaking of Wrath, I recently discovered something (two things specifically) when I was scowering through Google to look for Wrath merch (because I am sane. I promise.)

So:

They done fucked up my boy. This, for those that don't know, is what the Wiki says is Wrath 03's 3D model for the PS2 game, "Fullmetal Alchemist: Dream Carnival" - which is, I guess if you had to compare, like a Smash Bros type game made back in August of 2004.

This isn't actually the render he uses in game, as we can see here:

The render is correct in game, with his arms fully two toned, he doesn't have the cuff on his Ed arm, and he clearly has his undershirt; Unlike in the render depicted on the Wiki. (Sorry for the low quality screenshots from google and youtube, I will be able to get more better quality once I get the game for myself hopefully.) He looks so silly I can't.

I dunno where they got this render, but here's more talk of the game;

Something else I noticed when looking at gameplay of this game, and I will continue to do because I don't know what the games actually about I just know 03 Wrath is in it, is that the lil chibi Wrath shown as a button to press is actually Wrath before he remembers and remembers just what he is.

I've also never seen that chibi Wrath before - not in any of the offical art, most of it uses the Wrath pictured below when he is shown from what I have seen, not in merch; Nothing.

The only other Wrath chibi I have seen is the one in the Chibi Party OVA where he seems to be arguing with Izumi. (I'm a lil upset that he got no lines in said OVA even though he was an important character in CoS, we see ELICIA more - but at least I get to see him, I suppose.)

I have realized that I don't know how to draw gender. I've actually known this for a bit but when I go to draw the transfem Ed and Wrath they just. Look the exact same plus a skirt or whatever outfit I can think of (not saying men can't wear skirts, but that's part of the things too).

I guess the reason why Al looks kinda feminine, to me at least as this has been engraved in my brain, is the fact I draw eyelashes on Al - but I do that bc her design has very very very noticeable eyelashes and would be weird if I didn't draw them. Again, this is to me.

Also, I dunno how to draw ship art. Been struggling since drawing Edling (holy SHIT I need to draw more Edling, but Wrath and Ed have been consuming my mind lately) for Edling week bc I dunno any romance stuff except kissing. And biting too ig.
