Im Designing A Game Manual That Can Be Viewed Onscreen In-game. Heres What It Looks Like!

I’m designing a game manual that can be viewed onscreen in-game. Here’s what it looks like!

What a journey it’s been. When I started my initial Kentucky Route Zero (KRZ) playthrough on the old channel, I was in a bleak place personally. I replayed and replayed parts to see every bit of content, because having KRZ occupy my thoughts was an escape. That old channel is gone now, and so too are many viewers, fans, and friends. To those who have searched me out and have stuck by me (some of you have been with me since I started my original channel in 2012), I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am: but Thank You. In my new playthrough of KRZ (and especially from Act IV onward), I don’t linger on finding every bit of content. I let each moment happen, I am grateful for it, and I let it go. I was stunned at the abruptness of the ending (especially since I thought Act V would be longer), but I don’t think in terms of ā€œwas the ending as good as I think it should have been,ā€ because this game taught me something profound: As cliche as it is, the journey really is more important than the destination. To me, the big cast at the end represent those who stick with me still, and the ghosts who surround them represent all those who I lost along the way. And yet, we all gather together one final time. And the ride, the journey from start to finish, although at times heartbreaking, was TOTALLY WORTH IT. I love you all, even those who will never hear this message. I cherish and honor our time together, and even though it’s been tough, I wouldn’t change a single thing if I had the chance. I love who I’ve become, and I feel twenty times as strong as I was when I began Act I, Scene 1 so many years ago. ā¤ļø

aaah! I was super excited to see you in my sub box again! unfortunately the semester is in full swing so I probably won't get a chance to watch it all right away. nonetheless I can't wait to see the end of KR0; I had just been thinking about the game a week or so ago too!

The ending of KRZ is Perfect. I rewatch the end of that video from time to time just to relive it! Beautiful. Good luck with your semester, frand!

idk if you've been asked this before but where's the intro you use each vid from?

I made it! I made the music using loops and sound effects from GarageBand, and the voice who says ā€œKip Iconā€ is one of the ā€œtext to speechā€ voices that I recorded with my phone šŸ˜‚. The video is all royalty-free stock footage I had left over from a projection design course I took in school. Mystery solved! šŸ”

I hope this is alright to ask here! Your NiTW LP disappeared from your channel a bit ago, will it be coming back?

NiTW started getting harder to come back to, and I just don’t think I’m gonna be able to finish it. I wanted my channel to have full playthroughs only so that while I work on my game I don’t have viewers reach a bunch of dead ends and wonder where the rest is/when the rest is coming.

Question: Would you like for me to publish unfinished LP’s again? I’d clearly label the playlists ā€œunfinished/cancelled.ā€ (Gosh ā€œabandonedā€ seems so sad!)

Faith might be a good horror game to check out :3

I agree! The art style is awesome.
