Song #48

Everybody Wants Some!! by Van Halen

It was released in 1980 in their album Women and Children First

Fun fact: At the very end of the song, David Lee Roth (the lead singer) quips, "Look, I'll pay you for it, what the fuck?" The last word is not clearly audible due to the song's fade-out ending, and radio stations occasionally play the uncensored song as a result.

Song #50

Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi

It was released in 1986 in their album Slippery When Wet

Fun fact: Bon Jovi have reworked the song several times, including an acoustic live version that served as a precursor to the MTV Unplugged series and a re-recorded version of the song, "Prayer '94," which appeared on U.S. versions of their Cross Road hits collection.

song #47

Everything At Once by Lenka

It was released in November 5, 2012

Fun Fact: We can see that the starting two lines reflect a negative, dark and gory expectations of the songwriter. These darker intentions suddenly follow the light-hearted and more positive aspirations she wants to follow. As in slyness, strength, depth of a bite, darkness- they indicate the hunger for power authority, control and maybe destructive, dominating intentions; but followed by these mentions things like – real freedom that only a bird can experience, quietness, acceptability, melody of a song- further clarify the intentions of the songwriter. It’s not just about good and bad, she wants to go beyond what is good and bad.

Song #43

Cycle by Derivakat & Netrum

It was released on August 11, 2023

Fun Fact: "Are you also scrolling instead of sleeping? Then you’re just like me. Every day, the first and last thing I see is my phone. I’m caught in this endless spiral. These quick dopamine hits that feed a brain that is trained to have a shorter and shorter attention span. I can’t stick with one activity for too long. I can’t sit with my own thoughts for too long, and I can’t help it. I just keep on scrolling down." —Derivakat via YouTube

Song #55

Run the World!!! by Dayglow

It was released on September 28, 2018

Fun Fact: Dayglow, has used his time in quarantine to create a video for the feel-good single "Run The World!!!". Now speaking about the hilarious music video Dayglow explained: "Quarantine sucks; I want to run the whole freaking world. To broadcast my global message, I assembled a dream team— my mom, a childhood neighbour and lifelong friend, and a ramp I got from Walmart when I was 11 that still sits in our driveway to this day. With the help of a plethora of royalty free green-screen effects and a powerful political proposition, magic was made. I am so bored."
