Someone on an art subreddit advised that to avoid any fear of AI replacing you, you should practice making art on things. Walls, bodies, canvases, wooden furniture, etc. So I tried to paint traditionally for the first time in probably about 7 months. And Jesus, I forgot how much of a chemist you have to be to do traditional painting. The order of every step is so crucial, you really gotta strategize and plan ahead. Especially with certain paints. No wonder I was always more of a pencil drawings guy with traditional, lmao

I don't think digital is easier, however I do miss having the choice of whether the colours will desaturate or mix with eachother when I throw them on top of eachother. Yk? You can be so nit-picky with digital, having layers, adjustments and all, traditional says "fuck you, this is the best you've got. Go with it".
