"I only care for one person" but not really...

Is anyone else aware of this trope? The idea of someone who will only care for a single person, hurting anyone else so that special person is safe?

Welllllll, J anyone?

I think this newest episode really shows a new side to J. One with care.

The person I'm talking about that she really seems to care for is Tessa.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

The moment J shows up, she is helping Tessa with her light panic about the gala and does what she asked to help her.

When Tessa shows to be in pain, J is clearly worried and saddened.

Heck, even in the teasers for the episode, we can see J looking at Tessa nervously. [She isn't looking up high enough to see the parents, but it's high enough at Tessa]

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

She stops Solver V from slashing Tessa's face

When Tessa is chained up, she is a bit hesitant to break her out. But she is 1. Chained up as well and maybe didn't have an idea yet to get out. Honestly, she was probably feeling really down about the corporate saying she'd be thrown out a scene before.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

And 2. When a huge danger comes along, she 's instantly - in the next scene - getting Tessa out. Which actually seems to have hurt J in the process of doing that. Or at least, definitely exhausted her.

And they both help each other to try and fight the threat, and also give each other their preferred weapons.

But, this old version of J does seem to care for more people than just Tessa. This evidence is with N and Cyn.

J does mean stuff to N, but he does seem to be Tessa's fav. So she tries to not do stuff like that around Tessa.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

Even then, she does save him as well. She made a 'threat' to have him off himself, yet she saves him from V.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

Also while N is optimistic, he does still get fear from getting hurt. Yet he doesn't take her threats seriously. If anything, he was happy with her artwork with the death note.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

And with Cyn, she does antaganise her by keeping her in the basement.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

But not only does Tessa not seem to like Cyn a lot [whether geniunely or to get her parents off her back], so that would affect how J thinks of her.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

But she is still scared when Cyn starts going against the corporate.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

She is actually still nervous while N tries to cover for Cyn. She only changes to a dissapointed expression when N makes a kinda dum insult.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...
"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

She also makes the same face, even with Tessa, when he isn't aware of what Cyn did around them.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

A lot of her words and threats are empty.

Something did seem to change thou when her became a DD. She actually nearly got N killed. And I'd love to learn what got her to that point.

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

Little thing I didn't know where to put it, But she seems to have an intense fear of the corporate. [she's the only one with the empty, circle fear eyes]

"I Only Care For One Person" But Not Really...

She's an impressive rule-follower.

The Curse of The Mismatched Socks

This is a short silly story based on a joke made by my best friend many years ago...

Once upon a time, in a small town, in the middle of Nowhere, there lived a large family in their adequately sized house. Despite having a surplus of children, they managed to live in harmony.

One day, in the basement, the two oldest children, myself and my younger sister, Mary Lou, were folding the laundry. A perfectly normal task for the average child. Unfortunately, today there were... complications. Let me explain.

We had just finished the first basket when my third sister, Gemma, came down the stairs wearing a pair of mismatched socks. Mary Lou was focused on a shirt she was folding at the moment, so I was the only one to see.

"Uhhh, you might wanna take those off." I commented. Gemma shot me a look.

"Why?" She asked.

Mary Lou, hearing us converse, took one look at Gemma's feet and screamed.

"WHY ARE YOU WEARING THOSE?! DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S BAD LUCK TO WEAR MISMATCHED SOCKS?!"

Gemma and I winced in pain at her volume. Gemma was the first to reply.

"Calm down, sis! They're just socks." She rolled her eyes.

"No good will come of this." Mary Lou declared. "We are cursed."

Gemma and I shot each other a look before we all continued folding the laundry.

About half an hour later, we were finished (large families have a lot of laundry). I stood up, cracking my neck with a sigh.

"Finally," I smirked. "Hey, I'm going to my room to relax. If anybody needs me, I'm not available." Just as I was about to leave, our mother's voice boomed down the stairs.

"KIDS, WHY HAVEN'T YOU DONE THE LAUNDRY?"

"But we have! We just finished!" I called back.

"HA! TELL THAT TO THE MT. EVEREST PILE OF TOWELS IN THE BASKET!" She replied.

Gemma and I exchanged quizzical looks while Mary Lou just smiled. "I told you we were cursed." She said.

"Nah, you probably just missed some!" Gemma laughed nervously.

"Whatever, let's just finish this so I can get back to reading." I snapped my fingers to urge them to move faster.

"You'll see, just you wait..." Mary Lou muttered ominously.

An hour later, the towels were washed, dried, and folded. We thought we were done, but then I tried to open the door and was immediately swept away by an avalanche of laundry.

"What?! Where did this come from?!" Gemma asked.

"I told you. We're cursed." Mary Lou sighed.

We were stuck down there all day, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry. All because of a terrible fashion choice.

The End

(There's an extended ending, but it's not necessary to the story.)

Hi i was wondering can u give some good recommendations for classical literature. I want to start reading classics

Here's a few that introduced me to the classics:

Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, North and South, and Little Women

If you want to start with smaller and/or comparatively easier ones, then:

Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, The Great Gatsby, Animal Farm, The Picture of Dorian Gray

Hope that helps! Happy reading đź’—

Creative Commons - all kinds of stuff, homie

Even Adobe has some free images

There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own.

Please add on if you know any more resources for free images <3
