Is It Me, Or Is The Fact That Jensen And Jared Ran Together And Crossed The Finish Line Together Incredibly

Is it me, or is the fact that Jensen and Jared ran together and crossed the finish line together incredibly adorable?
.. and because it’s Supernatural, also very symbolic 🖤

Relieved husbands
temporarily

So Misha talks a bit about Cas in this video, and I haven’t posted a Cas thinky-thought thing here so here goes. (Misha’s answer starts at 3:42, the question is a bit before it)
So a lot of us, me included, have done all sorts of meta about Cas and his sense of belonging with the boys, and if he’s aware of how much the boys need/care about him. The question is basically about Cas’ death in S12 and if his subsequent return in S13 made him realize how much Sam and Dean truly care about him.
As an audience member, especially if I take a step back and look at it from a casual viewer’s POV, I see where the interviewer is coming from. We saw- specifically via Dean’s grief arc in the first five eps of S13 but also in Sam’s dogged need to press on and find their mom- just how much the boys care about Cas. He’s part of their family, he’s loved and valued for who he is, not just because of his angel abilities or his practical assistance he can give the boys.
But Misha’s answer just blows me away.
Cas never saw Dean’s grief. He doesn’t understand that the reason Jack reached out in the first place was because of how much Dean was hurting. So when Cas comes back, I’m sure he can tell they’re relieved, but he doesn’t truly get it, not really.
That scene between Cas and Jack was so powerful to me. It was Cas talking to himself (hahaha Misha & Alex lookalike pun). It was Cas finally realizing “hey, I belong somewhere”. After ten years of blind faith to rebellion to being stuck somewhere in between human and angel (”I just want to be an angel” anyone? *sobs*), he’s finally found a place to BELONG again. He’s an angel who lives with humans, he hunts, and he has a family. He has a home with Dean and Sam and Jack.
This hearkens back to my Sam post about Sam finding his place as well. I don’t just mean a physical place, but more a place in one’s soul. That little sweet spot where you feel every bit of who you are, and it’s right where you need to be. Cas is finding that, now, after spending so much time searching for it in all sorts of different ways. Sam’s place is helping guide this new community of hunters to give his brother rest. Cas’ place is to simply be with Dean and Sam (and Jack <3).
And so that brings us to our main conflict this season- Dean searching for his place. And I cannot wait for him to find it. *wink*

What’s cockles proof do you have? Maybe they are just flirty bros?
I want to preface this by saying that what is proof for me is not proof for someone else right away—I cannot say that everyone who reads this will See the Light and be dragged over to the cockles camp, because people are just different and I can only see from my point of view, etc. etc. This is my proof and what to me shows that Cockles is A Thing™.
*cracks knuckles* it’s essay time.
To me, Mishalecki = flirty bros. (I’m using Mishalecki as I know more about this ship and I see Mishalecki as flirty bros, while I see J2 as close to blood-related bros, so to keep this comparison working, J2 doesn’t suit what I need).
Yes, Jared has put Misha’s hand on his own crotch and stuff like this happens a lot. That’s flirty bros. That’s me and this guy I’ve been friends with for years winking at each other pretending to be seductive and then bursting into laughter two seconds later.
The things being flirty bros would include:
Playful banter that relates to touching in a flirtatious way without crossing boundaries
Calling each other hot/cute etc., especially in public or with other people around
Being generally very close to each other as friends, being comfortable with touching each other/hugging/standing close to each other, etc.
A general knowledge that though there is a lot of flirting involved, none of it is on a serious level.
There is often a lot of laughing involved.
Now, yes, Mishalecki has this, but Cockles has this, too. So at this point, both Cockles and Mishalecki are indeed flirtatious bros. However, this is not where Cockles stops.
One of the main things to look at when you wish for “proof”, is how to rule out other options.Where would, for me, flirtatious bros stop and something else begin? To me, I think it would bottle down to this:

So a few notes: This is BuckLeming.
This is for 14.12.
However, BuckLeming has been strangely solid for themselves this year. Short of some mechanical dialogue explaining everyone parting ways in 14.02, it was a solidly good episode, and we’ve heard that 14.07 will be some of their best writing to date.
I’ll just let everybody I know yell about this.
I’ve been thinking about this all day, adding stuff in my mind.

(prompt submitted by @shows-up-naked-covered-in-bees )
“Dean?” came a familiar voice in his head. It was Cas. Dean rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
“Dude. I told you to stop getting in my head. It just creepy,” he mumbled. Something was off, though. What he heard wasn’t his own voice. It was… Cas’? Dean opened his eyes. He found himself in some random motel room. What the hell? he thought. Dean was sure he had fallen asleep in his room in the bunker. Had he forgotten about a hunt he was on? That couldn’t be right.
“Dean, what are you doing?” came Castiel’s voice inside his head.
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out,” Dean said. Again he heard Cas’ voice rather than his own.
“No, I mean why are you in here?”
“I guess I’m on a hunt,” Dean yawned, rolling out of the motel bed. Still rubbing his eyes, he went into the bathroom to wash his face. He turned on the sink and leaned forward to splashed some cold water on his face. Straightening up, he towel off his face. For the first time, he saw his reflection in the mirror.
Dean almost fell over in surprise. What he saw in the mirror wasn’t his own face; it was Cas’. “Cas, why am I wearing your face?” he sputtered.
“That’s what I’ve been trying to ask you. You’re inside my vessel.”
“I’m inside you? Wow, that sounds wrong.”
“It’s more like you’re in here with me.”
“Alright, but how? Why?”
“I don’t know. “
“Well, what do we do about it?”
“Awesome.” This was all too weird. It wasn’t exactly bad, but it was sure as hell crazy. Dean began to notice how he could feel Castiel’s grace running through him. It was calming and familiar. It was… kind of nice. Dean shook his head. This was no time for those sort of thought. He has to find a way back into his own body. He needed to call Sam.
“I don’t know.”
“Good idea. Your brother might be able to look through the Men of Letter files to find what caused this and maybe now to reverse it.”
“Hold on. You heard that? What I was thinking?”
“Of course. We are sharing a vessel and, in turn, a mind.” Duh. Dean mentally face palmed for not thinking of that.
“Come on, let go call Sam.”
———————
“Found anything yet cause I’ve got squat,” Dean says in Cas’ voice.
“Uh, yeah. Come check this out. It says here that a soul can be transferred into a different body or vessel with this spell. In order to reverse the spell, a counter spell must be performed over the original vessel,” Sam informed.
“Great, so what do we need?”
“It says we need an angel feather, the blood of the original vessel, and a few different herbs.”
“We have all that here, don’t we?”
“Yeah, they should be in the storage area.”
“Awesome, let’s do this thing.” As he gathered the ingredients, Dean began to feel something like Cas’ grace dimming. It felt like he was sad for some reason.
“What’s wrong Cas?” he asked in his mind.
“It’s nothing, really.”
“Come on, I know it’s not nothing.” There was a short pause.
“Well, it’s just been kind of nice to, uh, feel your soul like this again. It’s so pure and beautiful, and I haven’t been this close to it since I pulled you from perdition.”
Dean wanted to protest the things Cas said about his soul. He didn’t believe it was pure or beautiful, and it was kind of embarrassing to hear Cas say that about him, but the way he said it was so sincere that it was hard to believe anything else. He didn’t really know how to respond.
“I made you uncomfortable,” Cas states.
“No, no, it’s not that. It’s just I wasn’t expecting that.” In all honesty, Cas’ grace had a similar effect on Dean. He had never remembered when Cas pulled him out of hell, but Cas’ grace felt so familiar; he must have felt it before. It was peaceful, and it felt safe and warm. He almost didn’t want to go back to his own body.
“Do you really feel that way, Dean?” Cas asked. There was some unknown emotion in Cas’ voice when he asked that.
“Yeah. I guess I do.” Normally Dean would have denied any of that, but with Cas in his mind- or rather he in Cas’- there was no hiding anything. Cas’ grace brightened at Dean’s confession and warmth flowed through him.
“I think that’s everything,” Sam said, placing several jars of crushed herbs on the table.
“Alright,” Dean replied, setting the angel feathers and a vile of his blood next to the herbs. “Let’s get this show on the road.”
The spell was simple. Sam performed it with easy over Dean’s body which was in his bed where he had left it. In a bright flash of light and a few exploded light bulbs, Dean’s soul left Castiel’s vessel and reentered his own body.
It was cold. He already missed Cas’ grace, but Cas stood so close to him he could almost still feel it. They stared at each other, more intensely than usual, Sam noted. He started to feel like he was intruding on something so he cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Did I miss something?” he questioned.
“No, what makes you think you did?” Dean denied.
“Nevermind. I’m just gonna… go.”

In the weeks that followed Sam noticed how Dean and Cas would stand closer to each other than they had in the past. He had always know there was something between them, but now it was obvious. He thought about asking them what it was. However, he decided it wasn’t really his business. They would tell him when they were ready. In the meantime, Sam would just have to avoid intruding on whatever it was that was happening when they stared at each other so intensely.
