I was recently a guest on Outer Grounds Studios’ 17th podcast! During the podcast, we talked about the trailer for J. G. Quintel’s upcoming animated series Close Enough, Teen Titans Go! taking over most of Cartoon Network’s schedule, and Sony’s upcoming Jesus movie The Star, which seems to be their way of asking forgiveness for The Emoji Movie. Speaking of which, we also discussed The Emoji Movie, Rock Dog, King of the Hill, and our favorite cartoons not from the Americas and our favorite so bad, it’s good cartoons.

How long did it take you to master the art of creating backgrounds? (I ask because I currently suck at them.)

Thanks! I personally wouldn’t call myself a master at backgrounds, but all it takes is practice. It’s easy when you have the area planned out in your head or in sketches. And understanding one, two, and three-point perspective will really help! Best of luck!

Finally finished the character sheets for Al and Sabrina, the two main characters of Eight-Layer Inferno.

Note that as the comic continues, Al and Sabrina will get older and eventually graduate. Also note that this isn’t Sabrina’s only outfit! She wears different clothing every day, which more resembles real life but breaks most cartoon traditions. XD

The Cartoon Physicist’s Noughtie List - The Very Late Second Anniversary

I recently had a cameo appearance in the Cartoon Physicist’s Two-Year Anniversary Special! (I even show up in the thumbnail--there I am in the lower left hand corner!)

As for me, I personally enjoyed this movie, but I can see that it has lots of flaws. :)
