because Hollywood seems to be of the opinion that all of this is okay because all of their films that sell well do it, pretty much. Their films will probably make more than the books, too, which means to them that they can do anything they want.

Yeah *sigh* It’s just… kind of maddening, and left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth when I was watching it. There’s a lot of really neat fancasts around that do it a bit better, though, and there’s still the image I have in my head when I picture the characters.
