The casually gathered thoughts, musings, and writings of a feral old woman.40s, Black, Puerto Rican, neurodivergent, atheist/ex-christian, cis gendered, heterosexual, heteroromantic, allosexual, sex positive, disabled; survivor since childhood STILL stubbornly continuing to survive.Always learning. Always trying to find ways to remain human despite the pressures of this capitalist hell-machine.βœ¨πŸŒŒπŸ––πŸΎβ˜€οΈπŸŒŠπŸŒΏπŸ‡΅πŸ‡·πŸŒΊπŸŒͺοΈπŸŒ•πŸ––πŸΎπŸŒŒβœ¨[This is more often than not going to be a collection of slightly cleaned-up, random thoughts and musings, and responses that I've given in various conversations that people seem to have really liked and asked to see. ^^;It's not a place where I'll debate, so. Patriarchy can only function if extremely rigid gender definitions and roles are observed.

Without conservatives' presumptions concerning how men and women look and what men and women are capable of (and therefore, how men and women are allowed to express themselves, and what they're allowed to do)?

All their excuses for why things have to be the way they are dissolves like cotton candy in water.

The very existence of trans people catapults the justifications for their pointless power structures firmly out of the window.

Even homosexuality doesn't threaten the structure quite as hard as transness does.

It's part of the reason why I'm glad to cheer on trans people.

Trans folk are real and they are valid.

Cultures around the world have accepted and honored transness in pre-colonial times.

And anyone trying to say otherwise, would have to deny literal decades of rigorous scientific research and study to do so.

If something can be destroyed by the truth, then it DESERVES to be destroyed by the truth!

…And honestly, when it comes to a poisonous structure like Patriarchy?

Good!

Destroy it and Good fuckin' riddance! ✊🏾✨

SOBBING DONT LOOK AT IT

I used to like knights as a little kid. I high-key wanted to be one.

I was fascinated by castles.

I'd draw them, and design fantasy ones made out of living trees, and play computer games about building them.

Then, I found out that chivalry was fake... and that those castles were built more or less to defend the king and the nobility from the commoners they'd stolen the land from.

I pivoted to a Samurai interest in my late teens, only to find out that the famed Bushido code, also, was invented after the time of the Samurai...by scholars who were all too happy to romanticize warriors who were really just bullies and defenders of the status quo which served the monarchs and the merchants.

( It doesn't help that any knight-in-shining-armor was most assuredly rich and high up in the ranks of nobility.

Armor isn't naturally bright and reflective like that. 😳 It took a TON of time and labor from many servants, in order to polish the armor and get that mirror-perfect effect.

So much so, that it was even used as an intimidation tactic... because if someone had shining armor, it was a sign that he had a LOT of power to throw around, and that he probably shouldn't be messed with. )

...And now I learn that the word 'villain' was created as a derogatory word for commoners.

I'm so tired of mythologized lies and canonized exploiters and warmongers.

I want to read and write stories about rebels.

About Robin Hoods.

About clerics gone apostate, and knights turned to oath-breakers who strive and learn and become REAL defenders of the realm....

Defenders and allies and accomplices and co-conspirators with the PEOPLE of the realm.

Not the "powers" that dared to enclose and enslave it.

I need cooler structures to dream of than castles.

I want to know what derogatory names the peasantry called the REAL antagonists.

I want to help break the warped, storified lens of history: both that which exists externally in our media, and all that which has been internalized in me.

Baby trans girls: you do not have "like, A cup boobies." Get some measuring tape. Learn your bust and band size. Do not eyeball this. Even if you dont want to wear bras, knowing your measurements will make shopping easier. Get your hip, waist, and butt while you're at it.

Most of all though, this will teach you to be less of a stranger to your body. Nobody really teaches you this. But you have a woman's body now. Treat it like one, like it is yours. You can be an outside observer to yourself through an objectifying gaze, or you can learn that your cup size is probably larger than you thought.

Cup size is not based on looks. It is based on surface area. Even cis women make this mistake and wear uncomfortable bras for years. On my second year of E, i took measurements again and was shocked to find I was a C cup despite what i thought was little visible difference in size; growth in other areas really played tricks on my eyes.

And while we are at this, if learning your measurements seems scary because you think it will make shopping scarier or that you'll never find something that could fit you; whatever hanghup you have, there are cis women facing it too. Maybe you'll never wear the frilly lingerie store stuff, but neither will an awful lot of women in general. Measurements in hand, you can find a lot of stores and resources catering to all shapes and sizes.

All this said, the societal standard that you "need" to wear one for decency is prudish bullshit. Do what will be most comfortable for you, but dont reject the notion of a bra as a fashion accessory; certain types look better with certain kinds of tops. Some tops are a tough sell without one. And many bralettes alone can make an incredible top for a layered warm weather outfit.

May this post reach someone who needed to hear it βœ¨οΈπŸ’šβœ¨οΈ
