Simply put, Madisyn didn't see the point of this person. She seemed to exist in Madi's life for no other reason than to caue trouble, buzzing around her draining her energy like some...annoying, energy mosquito. Vampire. Thing.
Look, analogies or similies or whatever were never Madi's thing. Auditions always seemed to coincide with English class, and what was more important?
Still, this bitch was irritating, and she let out a huff to let her know it, not aware she was giving the Aurora bartender exactly what she wanted. "No, you didn't. You were being like...totally aloof, and wasted my time. Ugh, that's slander!" She pointed an accusing finger at Jeanie. "I do pay. Unless you're referring to a tip, which like...no thank you, based on your service." At the jab about the diner and the VIP, Madi rolled her eyes and pulled a face. "Duh. I was actually taking an extemely important phone-call before going in and then you decided to sidle over."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Jeanie said in an airy, innocent sort of tone, but the grin on her face gave her away. Mischief twinkled in her eyes. She couldn't explain exactly what it was about Madisyn Huang that made her want to press every button like a kid presented with the control panel of an elevator, maybe it was the sense of entitlement with which she approached things or simply just the fact that her reactions were too funny to resist, but regardless she couldn't help herself. "I gave you you exactly what you were asking for, didn't I? Plus, you know paying customers usually actually pay for stuff. Wait... how come you're hanging around out here? Ohhh. You do know Waterway doesn't have a list, right? Now I know that's a weird concept when you're used to being a VIP and all, but really, it's true, you just walk right in."

All Madisyn ever wanted was for the clock to go back, and to get her old life back. Where she didn’t have to go into hiding in Illinois, where she didn’t have to think about the future of some random fucking farm, or filter death threats and hate comments in her comments. Where she had true love — and maybe not with Dominik but she could have found someone she supposed — and friends, and her family weren’t two-faced little snakes.
What Grace was offering was good, but it wasn’t enough. She would still be tainted by what others did to her, what she did to herself, and a business deal and moving back to LA wouldn’t be the fix-all to her problems that she wanted. She knew Grace was watching her as some spoiled influencer who lacked fucking cognitive function, but Madisyn Huang was smarter than a lot of people gave her credit for.
“I am making something out of this situation, Grace.” Her tone was cold, lacking any of the ‘Valley Girl’ inflections, watching the blonde with a steely gaze. She got up, chair scraping against the floor, uncaring if people turned. She liked eyes on her anyway. Attention was attention, after all. “And I don’t need some cold British bitch who fucked me over the first time to fuck me over again.”
“I recommend the museum, so your trip here hasn’t been too wasted. Safe travels, Gracie-Poo.”
