Tips to find your signature scent

Picking a new perfume is not easy but finding ‘the one’ can be even more overwhelming so…

1) SAMPLE your fragrance before purchasing.

This takes time, so if you are testing fragrances in store, go get a coffee and let the scent develop over the next few hours before making a decision, paying attention to the different layers of scent that you are experiencing – often a perfume can smell very different after a few hours

2) Before choosing your signature scent, give some thought to what you want it to communicate about you.

Do you want to stand out from the crowd or are you looking for something more discreet and intimate? If you’re looking to turn heads as you walk in the room.

It’s important that we love the fragrance that we are wearing, however, it’s just as important to remember that we are ultimately wearing fragrance for other people – to tell our story to others through scent - so it’s crucial that we know what we want to communicate.

3) Don’t fall victim to trends

All too often we find ourselves purchasing a fragrance that many of our friends or the latest icons are wearing or whoever has the most advertisements.

4) Understand fragrance families

Every family will give a certain message and can help quickly narrow down a select few fragrances that are going to help you tell your story best.

- Oriental and spicy fragrances tend to be much warmer and heavier in nature, lending themselves best to the winter months or an evening fragrance.

- Woody scents are more masculine in nature, whilst floral fragrances tend to be more feminine, however, that being said, a fragrance is not gender specific.

- Fruity and citrus fragrances tend to be more uplifting and easy to wear, making them ideal for daytime wear or for summer months

You do NOT have to work hard in order to get what you want!

You read that right! You don't have to work hard in order to get what you want. Isn't that amazing? All you have to do in order to get what you desire is to affirm and persist for it. That's literally it!

You don't have to work extra hours at your job in order to get that raise. You don't have to text first or be good at flirting in order to have your sp. You don't have to be as thin as a minecraft enderman or fit eurocentric beauty standards in order to be beautiful. You don't have to have pale skin or follow trends in order to be worthy of love and respect. You just have to affirm and persist for what it is that you want and you'll be able to get it. You already have what you want regardless of anything!

Nothing is out of your reach unless you assume that it is. Nothing is impossible unless you assume that something's impossible. On the other end, if you assume that you can have something, than you absolutely can have it. If you assume that you always get what you want, then you always get what you want. It's that simple!

Your subconscious mind already does all the hard work for you. So stop overworking yourself and doing so much unnecessary shit that's only stressing you out and making you feel exhausted and make life easier for yourself. You don't have to work so much. All you have to do is affirm and persist. Your thoughts create, not the amount of work that you do. You are worthy of your desires no matter how much time and effort you put into receiving them.

Masculine energy

To get in touch with your feminine energy, you first need to let go of the masculine energy. In today's age, masculine energy is praised, spending most of our time working hard, chasing things, avoiding emotions, and fixating on accomplishments.

But Malu, what's the point of all of this?? Let me tell you, being in touch with whatever feminine energy works best for you will help you become the best version of yourself, feel more confident, and manifest quicker. However, getting in touch with your feminine energy is a longer prosses; you have to get to know yourself better, visualize your goals and the person you want to become and work towards that.

Signs that your NOT in touch with your feminine energy:

You are insecure

You chase validation from others

You have no set boundaries

You avoided strong emotions

You constantly try to please others

You are bad at making decisions

The beauty of femininity:

The beauty of this all is that it can be expressed in many different ways. You can decide who you want to be; soft, kind, loving but also strong, seductive and confident. Celebrating femininity and working on your energy can give you purpose and strength to reach whatever goal you have set for yourself.
