This is what i woke up to this morning

Currently trying to get back into digital art, I keep doing the outlines on the sketch layer :']

Anyways, here's a quick little doodle I made to try out different brushes and see which ones I vibe with! ^-^

I'm not sure where this very anime-esque style came from, my usual art style is a lot more semi-realistic lmao.

I had a lot of fun messing around with and customizing the different brushes! I found myself very drawn to the watercolour and charcoal/chalk pastel alternatives, which isn't really a surprise considering that I work traditionally lol.

One downside of digital art, however, is that I'm confined to a very small surface (my phone screen, to be specific), but I can't zoom in and out while working traditionally, so I think that feature makes up for the smaller canvas-size :]

The Krang don’t know fear. They are fear. They instill it. They feed on it.

But here, in this moment… this krang knows fear.

Rubble shifts behind it, the small rattling of loose stones loud in the dark, and the krang whips its battlesuit around, laser sight sweeping over shattered concrete and broken rebar to take aim at–

Nothing at all.

The krang lets out a strained chuckle. Just its imagination, that’s all. It’s just been out here too long, hunting down some of those pathetic rats calling themselves a “resistance”. Ha, as if anyone could truly resist the Krang.

“Come out, little rat,” it calls out, infusing its voice with a bravado it doesn’t truly feel. “We both know how this game ends. Why draw it out? I promise I’ll make it quick.”

No answer. The krang takes a cautious step forward, mindful of its footing. Its battlesuit is small, mobile, not well-suited to the awkward terrain of the ruined building. It shouldn’t have needed anything larger. No, it didn’t need anything larger, because this was… this was nothing. A minor inconvenience.

Something scrapes to the krang’s left, the subtle whisper of… a footstep. The krang whirls.

An inhuman shape silhouetted by only the weak, red light filtering down through a gap in the broken ceiling. Bedraggled, scarred, its eyes nothing but twin pinpricks in the dark… utterly silent save for the rhythmic tap-tap-tap of a single claw against stone, and a rattling hiss that is alien even to the extradimensional krang. Its head tilts ninety degrees before it takes one long, slow step forward. Languid. Unhurried.

The Krang don’t know fear.

But here, in this moment… this one does.

On another note

I just found out that literally ALL OF MY FILES have been corrupted in my art app, I'm coping surprisingly well ngl, normally this would upset me vv much, but honestly? Half of them were old, finished things that i just didn't delete the file of, and the rest were either abandoned or a work in progress that i wasn't extremely into.

There's literally only one drawing in there that i have saved screenshots of that i want to save, lol

Peepaw is the only art thing important to me, apparently

So! i made my first ever gif, I'm not entirely happy with it, but tumblr might appreciate it

I like the way the breathing looks, but i wish I'd redo the tail, but yk, animating on a phone is annoying asf
