Hey hey hey.. 'Mo Xuanyu' your Wei Wuxian is showing. Suddenly he is less childish and less goofy, his voice becomes firmer and he stands straight and faces her directly.

Look at him being all protective over the Lan Juniors. He knows they aren't supposed to react to her words, but he has no compunctions about it. He isn't going to let her unfairly blame these kids who came all this way to help. We start seeing his core personality here. The things that make him do what he did in his past. Here he is, speaking truth to authority, drawing ire on himself, to protect someone who cannot (in this case because rules not strength) protect himself.

So I am full of curiosity about this scene:

Lan Sizhui sees that Mo Ziyuan (Ooh interesting, I never made the connection between Zixun, Zixuan, and Ziyuan v Xuanyu and Meng Yao who becomes Guangyao) is going to do something to hurt Mo Xuanyu. And he stops him. But we get this moment where he dips his fingers into his water cup, and we get a cute ploop sound before his fingers glow and he makes Mo Ziyuan slip and miss Mo Xuanyu. So, my thoughts are, why does Sizhui need the water (does he need the water?) to accomplish this little trick? Are there other examples of people using elements to do magic? (I will be keeping an eye out for things like this now in this watching.)
