These Days some Mods containing Malware have been uploaded on various Sites.
The Sims After Dark Discord Server has posted the following Info regarding the Issue:
+++
Malware Update: What We Know Now To recap, here are the mods we know for sure were affected by the recent malware outbreak: "Cult Mod v2" uploaded to ModTheSims by PimpMySims (impostor account) "Social Events - Unlimited Time" uploaded to CurseForge by MySims4 (single-use account) "Weather and Forecast Cheat Menu" uploaded to The Sims Resource by MSQSIMS (hacked, real account) "Seasons Cheats Menu" uploaded to The Sims Resource by MSQSIMS (hacked, real account)
Due to this malware using an exe file, we believe that anyone using a Mac or Linux device is completely unaffected by this.
If the exe file was downloaded and executed on your Windows device, it has likely stolen a vast amount of your data and saved passwords from your operating system, your internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Firefox, and more all affected), Discord, Steam, Telegram, and certain crypto wallets. Thank you to anadius for decompiling the exe.
To quickly check if you have been compromised, press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run window. Enter %AppData%/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/UserData in the prompt and hit OK. This will open up the folder the malware was using. If there is a file in this folder called Updater.exe, you have unfortunately fallen victim to the malware. We are unware at this time if the malware has any function which would delete the file at a later time to cover its tracks.
To quickly remove the malware from your computer, Overwolf has put together a cleaner program to deal with it. This program should work even if you downloaded the malware outside of CurseForge. Download SimsVirusCleaner.exe from their github page linked here and run it. Once it has finished, it will give you an output about whether any files have been removed.

For more Information please check the Sims After Dark Server News Channel!
CurseForge took actions and added mechanics to prevent such Files to be uploaded, so downloading there should be safe.
In general be careful, where and what you download, and do not download my Mods at any other Places than my own Sites and my CurseForge Page.

Did you know you can make sims look in a specific direction whilst they're posed?
Hit shift+tab to enter first person mode
Aim the camera where you want your sim to look (make sure your game isn't paused otherwise the sim won't move - you can press 1 in first person mode to set time running)
Hit pause (by pressing P)
Hit shift+tab again to exit first person mode
Voila! Your sim is now looking in the direction you pointed 'em!

A neat little cheat to get multiple uses from the same pose! 🤸♀️
1890-1940 // portraits of caleb vatore

Made as a companion to these portraits of Lilith. I'll make these into cc wall art next, along with the sibling portraits I'll put up shortly.
As I said in the last post, I see the Vatores as having been born in the late 1930s/early 1940s, meaning none of these clothes belong to him and these photos were taken in like, the 1980s or some shit. I chose a short haircut for Caleb for these renders, but you're free to imagine side bangs stuffed into those hats. I know I will.
Men's fashion is a lot more limited, both in terms of CC and real life clothing, and the differences between cuts/hats/etc can be pretty subtle. This set isn't as historically accurate as Lilith's, and I'm chalking that up to Caleb being less invested in the whole affair than she was.

This is mostly @happylifesims - thanks for fueling my historical costuming frenzy :)

All that magic, and what do they use it for? Mastering the art of gracefully riding a broom in a heavy walking dress and corset without having to resort to a hobble skirt, of course!

hc: caleb's birthday portraits

When Caleb was born, Lilith received a box of crayons and a ream of paper from their father, who instructed her to draw the baby. He explained that they needed pictures to send to her grandparents so they’d know what her new brother looked like. It was a very important responsibility, one he urged her to take seriously, so she got to work.
Lilith was two and a half years old at the time. Those drawings didn’t clarify a thing for her grandparents, but they kept her occupied while her mother, exhausted after a difficult labor, got a bit of rest.
A year later, while Lilith’s mother was busy preparing Caleb’s birthday celebration, her father once again approached her, this time with even more crayons and paper, and told her to draw her brother so their grandparents could see how he'd grown. These ones were a little better, but the grandparents probably got a bit more out of the actual photographs mailed along with the drawings. It became a yearly tradition, and she kept it up even after Caleb stopped aging. She still has almost all of the portraits, except the ones from his 4th, 7th, 29th, and 56th birthdays. There are so many now that storing them is a logistical challenge.
Caleb thinks that the collection is a fascinating representation of the vampiric existence. He, the subject, does not meaningfully change portrait to portrait, year to year. He knows that he hasn’t, but there’s something about she sheer size of the collection - literally dozens of paintings, all with the same face - that really drives that point home. On the other hand, they’re a detailed record of Lilith’s evolution as an artist. Caleb looks the same in every painting, but no two paintings look alike. She has changed and grown, though she looks the same as she always has. He's grown too.
There’s something meaningful about that, so every year, he agrees to another portrait. Thankfully, Lilith paints quickly and vampires can hold a pose.
Also, March 23rd feels like a good birthday for Caleb. I think that'd be right around Spring 1, if we take the equinox to be the beginning of spring.
