Late Heisei Era got hit hard in these.  I’d also nominate the guy from GvSG trying to kill Godzilla with a coagulating submachine gun.  The Vegetarian line was catastrophically stupid though.

Was a wee bit bored this afternoon and listed my top five worst scenes/moments in the Godzilla series.

This has always been one of my favorite size charts because it really shows the contrast in scale between Showa and Heisei monsters.  It's one thing to be told that Godzilla is now much larger, and quite another to see him visibly towering over his former friends and foes.

I agree with both of these.  I could imagine a backstory in which KT extinction event was caused by Ghidorah's arrival, with an awakened Godzilla's timely intervention causing him to hibernate and preventing him wiping out the remaining 25% of life.  Sadly I'm not sure either Max Borenstein or Gareth Edwards are willing to do an extraterrestrial backstory.  I'm just hoping we don't get Vermithrax Ghidorah.

Ideal King Ghidorah origin (Ghidorigin?) for Godzilla 2: The meteor carrying KG is the same one that wipes out the dinosaurs. I don't know, I just think it would be awesome.

My ideal origin for the new King Ghidorah would be very Lovecraft/ancient astronauts/At The Mountains of Madness. Maintains the essential alien origin while doing something a bit new and slightly more grounded (as is the current trend in blockbusters).

Obviously King Ghidorah’s greatest appearance was in Zone Fighter

There seems to be some argument as to which of King Ghidorah's Showa movie is the greatest, Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster or Monster Zero? If you'd rather cast the vote for Destroy All Monsters or Godzilla vs. Gigan then do it.

My heart lies with Invasion of (the) Astro-Monster(s)/Monster Zero. I grew up watching the English dub and it remains a favourite to this day.

Update: I got sick over the weekend, so I've decided not to wear the costume to the Expo.  Maybe next year.

The top picture reminds me of the excellent posters that the Heisei Series always had.  Is it a coincidence or were they still making similar ones in the Millennium Series?
