One Day, I'm Gonna Sit Down And I'm Gonna Finish Every WIP I've Started.
One day, I'm gonna sit down and I'm gonna finish every WIP I've started.
It may take a day, it may take a week, it may take a month. But I have vowed that by the end of this year, every WIP I currently have is going to be finished.
So it has been said, so it shall be written, so it shall be done
🐦🔥
Edit: We have 12 Wips to work on and finish by the end of the year (Not In This Order) -Enough Caffeine To Kill An Elephant (2) -How To Balance Your Daytime and Nighttime Activities So That You Don't Burn Yourself Out More Than You Already Have (1, 2) (S) -Take Back Your Minx (1, 2) -Batman's Biggest Hater (1) -Time Loop: Ghosts of the Present and Future (1) -Reunion of Brothers (1, 2) -Morally Grey in a World of Black and White (1, 2) (S??) -Be Thou For The People (1, 2) (S) -Cryptid Rules (1) -Survivor's Guilt (2, 3) (S) -Well, This Is Awkward (3) -To Be A Normal Kid (2, 3) (S) This list is excluding any projects that I have notes on but haven't started. I was right! My vision has gotten worse!
ETA for my glasses: Sept. 7th, maybe sooner
Eye appointment set for tomorrow! Yay!
Why do I have to pay to see? It's bull
I was worried, for a bit there, about how I'd be able to write the Spidey Sense but then I remembered that I have (and currently am) already written a character with a precognition sense. It's a lot more sentient than Spidey Sense, but just means that the SS should theoretically be easier to write!
(Unless I've got it totally backwards and the precog Power I've written before was only easy because I could write it as though it were an actual character, therefore making the SS much harder to write because it's basically super anxiety instead of a voice in a head) (Hm)
In other news! Several of my notes and rough dialogue clips that I've got down rn are inspired by other people's works, so each has been written down and credited. No, I don't remember what inspired what, I just know that I was inspired and therefore but the fic and author in my notes at the very top, right above my cast and just under my title ideas
I was thinking about writing a Spider-Man and Batman crossover like Leap of Faith and Dark Matter, but I convinced myself otherwise. Not because I don't think I'd do a good job or because I'm already working on a million and a half stories, but because of this:

I tend to go really dark with my writing if I don't make sure to not let myself get lost in the words. I don't think I could bring myself to put Peter through anything I'd come up with. Maybe in the future, but definitely not right now

I saw a thing yesterday that said eye appointments are supposed to be an annual thing. ??? Miss Ma'am? Idk where you're getting your information, but I think it's wrong.
The only annual eye appointments I ever had was in elementary school when all us students were herded off to stand in lines in the gym to make sure we could still see the boards in class. Those proved to be useless because I was not born with 20/20 vision and no one believed that my sight was getting worse until I walked up to my fifth grade teacher one day and said "I can't read the board" despite sitting maybe 5 feet away.
I got my first pair of glasses in 6th grade. From then, I don't go until my glasses break or I am unable to see outta the lenses.
..or a secret third option where the DMV told me that they would not allow me a learners permit until I had new glasses because "These results are telling me that you're legally blind. Come back with an actual eye exam and new glasses."
For anyone who's curious, this is a pretty good idea of what I see without my glasses on (I am very near sighted)

The 20/400 is what I was what I was told my vision was at when I got the glasses I now have in my junior (sophomore? can't remember) year. No one told me what that meant, but I still haven't bothered to look it up. I can finally make blind jokes and my friends can't tell me off for them! (as long as they're in good taste)
I wonder if it got worse???? Sure feels like it
I have Word Fail stuck in my head
Will someone please get it out of my head?
It's a good song, and I love the music (and Ben Platt) from Dear Evan Hansen, but it's not the soundtrack I want to fall asleep to
