I Think I Might've Said Almost This Exact Thing In Here Before - Tumblr Posts
I saw a thing yesterday that said eye appointments are supposed to be an annual thing. ??? Miss Ma'am? Idk where you're getting your information, but I think it's wrong.
The only annual eye appointments I ever had was in elementary school when all us students were herded off to stand in lines in the gym to make sure we could still see the boards in class. Those proved to be useless because I was not born with 20/20 vision and no one believed that my sight was getting worse until I walked up to my fifth grade teacher one day and said "I can't read the board" despite sitting maybe 5 feet away.
I got my first pair of glasses in 6th grade. From then, I don't go until my glasses break or I am unable to see outta the lenses.
..or a secret third option where the DMV told me that they would not allow me a learners permit until I had new glasses because "These results are telling me that you're legally blind. Come back with an actual eye exam and new glasses."
For anyone who's curious, this is a pretty good idea of what I see without my glasses on (I am very near sighted)

The 20/400 is what I was what I was told my vision was at when I got the glasses I now have in my junior (sophomore? can't remember) year. No one told me what that meant, but I still haven't bothered to look it up. I can finally make blind jokes and my friends can't tell me off for them! (as long as they're in good taste)
I wonder if it got worse???? Sure feels like it
