I've been living with my boyfriend for a year now and I'm still getting used to witnessing someone being good at cooking. He's a great cook, and when he makes something that tastes off he just knows "oh this needed more liquid" or "oh this could've used more of this specific seasoning" and then corrects it next time. When I cook something shitty I go "this is pretty gross! Guess I'll cook it exactly the same way next time and still eat it!"

I thought I’d never find really good gay friends again after I moved to the south but then I got a job at 1930s Mafia themed murder mystery dinner show and then I got really good gay AND autistic friends.

I moved across the country to live with my boyfriend a little over a year ago now. Before I moved I was at the library like every day. It’s been over a year and I still hadn’t gone to my new library by my new home until today! I’d procrastinated it since I don’t live in a walkable area now, but today I had the opportunity to walk to the library while my boyfriend runs errands downtown and I’m so glad! I am typing this from a library computer because as soon as I walked upstairs a very lovely librarian said hello and asked if I needed help and then they immediately helped me set up my new card. Libraries will never fail to make me feel safe, I moved from a very gay friendly city out to a state in the south where I didn’t expect to feel welcomed, but libraries (and also live theaters where the girls and the gays congregate) have been here for me. Remember kids, visit your local libraries. And no matter where you are, you will find your people.
