You know what I just realized? Belos didn’t show any kind of concern/happiness about the fact that his nephew was okay after being presumed dead from the airship accident. He was more rattled about Hunter coming back empty handed rather than him being alive and safe.

People really will praise Ahsoka as a character and then totally ignore her actual character. It’s fucking wild.

It is really weird people seem so convinced that a group of 10,000 people(total btw not all of them are fully trained or still in fighting condition) could somehow tear down a system spanning hundreds of thousands if not millions of planets in a place where they have very little authority and there is little Republic presence.

Hell even if they got the Republic to raise an army to launch a full scale invasion to stamp out slavery they still have to go through the process of rebuilding the outer rim and maintaining a presence so that slavery does not just waltz back in(just look at the news to see how such interventions can really fuck up.) Not to mention just how bloody and likely wildly unpopular that would be. Talking about tearing oppressive system is one thing but keeping it from spiraling out of control is a whole other thing.

I think that became the fundamental problem with the Jedi, they serve politics rather than what is right. If they just go the Hutt space and destroy the slavers, who’s going the stop them?

So, your position is that the Jedi should have been vigilantes who act like superheroes who go around intervening in whatever they want to, without regard for other countries' jurisdiction or the consequences of those actions or the fact that they did not have the numbers to wage that kind of war? This sounds like a snide answer, but it’s not meant to be one, it’s just that it’s always ignored that SW isn’t a consequences-free narrative when it comes to actions like that, and the Jedi aren’t meant to be vigilante superheroes.  (Nor do I think a group of people just casually doing whatever they want--regardless of whether or not they think they’re right--is a great idea, because that’s like saying a group of people should go invade North Korea because they think it’s right, like, do you know how bad that would be.)
