I suddenly remembered Marisha dressing up one halloween as "Soldier B", who was a generic character, one she had to portray a lot, fast forward to her creating Laudna from a dead villager that was a medium to shock the main heroes and did nothing else, and taking this character to transform it into this undead creepy, visually complex, highly expressive character... I just.. (cries in being happy for one amazing Marisha Ray)

MOLLYMAUK & DID

Before we get into this post, I am currently on episode 99 of Critical Role, Campaign 2. I am not caught up, but I have vague spoilers for Mollymauk's character.

As a DID/OSDD system, I've noticed my favourite character, Mollymauk has parallels towards DID. The situation with Lucien's death and Mollymauk taking over is very similar to a host going dormant and another alter becoming the host, and after Molly's death, Lucien comes back. ESPECIALLY with the amnesia.

Now, some could negate this with 'Oh, but are the only alters Molly and Lucien?', not necessarily.

DID is a quiet disorder, some alters only stay in the headspace and never front, they do their job on the inside and find no need to come out, as well as some alters are similar to the hosts on purpose so that nobody notices. DID is a disorder where anything goes, there's no right or wrong! So Mollymauk having DID is definitely possible, and backed up.

I'm not sure if Matthew or Taliesin intended for the parallels, but I'm incredibly comforted by it, and it's a huge headcanon of mine, especially since I have a Mollymauk fictive, as well as a Caduceus fictive!

okay maybe not exactly but they have something very similar to pratchett characters and i dont only mean the names

they all start as a joke, or rather - their life/enviroment/sth makes them a joke, but they still are real people, its easy to forget about that, but they know, or rather - author knows that and hes gonna remind you about it in the best (most emotional) way possible.

Nott? haha little goblin girl, drunk all the time, not taken seriously and you are laughing whole first episodes, but the more you watch the more *real* she feels and suddenly her being drunk is not so funny.

Scanlan is even better example of that

and its the same with vimes, all joke named characters cheri littlebottom and moist included, otto (funny vampire totally not making a joke out of himself because its better to be funny that scary), everyone, even fucking nobby nobbys
