Alice: Asylum is officially dead.

Series creator and developer American McGee posted a Patreon update a few hours ago stating that, after weeks of waiting on a response, EA has officially declined to move forward with the project. They are also unwilling to sell or license the IP to anyone else, so crowdfunding or taking it to another company is not an option.

In response, McGee himself seems to be retiring from game development altogether and plans to focus his creative energies on Mysterious, his online store. As a longtime fan, I'm absolutely devastated to have this decades-long journey end in such a crushing manner, but we always knew it was a possibility. I wish McGee the best of luck in his future endeavors; this news truly hurt to hear.

so very rarely (if ever) do i do something like this because its always good to fact check this kind of thing and generally callout posts aren’t something to just jump on but a personal friend has come forward and warned me about this so I’m using my fate clout this one time to warn fate mutuals and people in general about @ lesbianapocalyptic (space for no mention) who is a sexual predator

im not personally involved in these matters so dont dm me for details since the doc has whats needed and the person who came forth wants to remain anonymous but this has deeply impacted one of my friends so I feel like spreading the word and warning others is important

Guys! I'm very very sorry for not posting new chapters rn, but don't worry I didn't forget abt this project and am very determined to translate everything no matter how long it takes!
