Lathe, You Said You Would Marry Kingsley, Such A Nice Bloke, Right? Is There Some Subconscious Desire

Lathe, you said you would marry Kingsley, such a nice bloke, right? Is there some subconscious desire to become a part of the Shacklebolt family? Ever think of considering another way to become a part of that family without taking a trip to Vermont with Kingsley?

Jules: so much LOL for this.

Lathe: I think the Shacklebolts are a very nice family. Is that what you’re asking? And why would I want to go to Vermont?

Hi Jules how are you today? I was just wondering what lead Sam, potentially Carlotta and the Marauders to work out that Lily had started to like James? Can't wait for chapter 34 :)

I am quite well, thank you. =)

Sam was led to believe that Lily liked James through the whole Ministry debacle. James had already been with Sam at the Ministry, but he left to go fetch Lily (and Marlene). So Sam kind of assumed that James liked Lily, which he already knew from past experience (Lily = “The Ginger”). So then Lily shows up, and she’s not exactly stand-off-ish with James, and boys always assume that if a girl is nice to a guy she likes him anyway, so the flirtation there just fueled that fire.

Sirius- Sirius finds it unfathomable that anyone could not love his best friend, and now that Lily doesn’t hate James, Sirius rather assumes that she must like him. Of course, Sirius also probably always thought that Lily secretly liked James, now that they’re on good terms more than ever.

Remus (and to some degree Peter) probably guess because of the Ministry thing as well. But Remus also was there to see Lily so upset about basically abandoning James in Chapter… 9? Was that 9? The one that starts at the end and goes back? Ya I think that’s Chapter 9. So Remus might have begun to suspect that Lily might slightly like James way back then. And, all of the other Marauders read the almost-kiss like all you guys did: that Lily liked James (meaning James was just about the only one who interpreted it the other way). So, that, combined with the mild flirtation of Chapters 28 and 29 sort of made them believe that Lily likes James.

Carlotta: I don’t really want to give anything away, because it’s only really been hinted that Carlotta does believe that Lily likes James. But, I will say that it’s not unheard of for an individual to believe that other people secretly want his/her significant other, with or without justification.

Remus, I know this is hard, but if you had to choose, wich one of the marauders would you call your best friend? or the one you feel most comfortable with?

Um… it’s different at different times, that’s all. Sometimes Padfoot, sometimes Prongs. And they’re kind of a unit anyway. I wouldn’t say there’s one that I’m more comfortable with than the other.

Marauders(ex James), what was the first thing that went through your head when Lily said she liked James?

Sirius: called it.

Remus: Of course this would happen now.

Peter: This complicates things a bit.

Remus and Peter:Do you ever feel weird that Sirius and James are closer with each other than either of you?

Peter: I’m just glad to be one of the Marauders.

Remus: No, it makes sense. And it’s not like the rest of us are strangers.
