On a more serious note, what are some of the characters thoughts on the inevitable war? Obviously we know their stances on the issue, but what ways do they plan to help out the cause --- if they plan to help out the cause at all?

James: Well, naturally. Although if they could kill Voldemort before I’ve got to get involved, that’d be brill.

Sirius: Hell yes I’ll be involved. ‘Love a good fight, me.

Remus: I couldn’t possibly think of not doing something.

Lily: I’m thinking about M.F.P. at the moment… but, yeah, I’ll definitely be involved…

Marlene: Whatever I could do…

Mary: God, I dunno. It seems awfully… dark.

Donna: I’m not a huge fan of heroics…

Lily, what do you want your wedding to be like?James same question. And do you think you'll marry Carlotta? Have you even thought about that? Or do you envision someone else meeting you at the altar?

Lily: I don’t know, really. It’ll depend on a lot of things–who I’m marrying, for one. The groom’s a part of the wedding too, and it would have to suit him just like it suits me, or it would seem awfully false. But I’d like something–not really big, but not tiny, either. Just… intimate. And nice. And creative, and pretty.

James: you’ve got to be kidding. I don’t plan my wedding. I don’t even plan on having a wedding. I mean–I dont know. And I find it highly unlikely that Carlotta and I will get married.

Adam, what would you say if Marlene told you she had feelings for you?

James: Do you still not believe in love, marriage, god, etc.?Marauders: Do you share his views on these subjects, or are they unique to James?

Sirius: I am a great believer in love. The ultimate believer in love, if you will…

Remus: I’m not as cynical as James.

Peter: haven’t given it much thought, to tell the truth. But Prongs usually knows what he’s about.

James: Alright, so maybe there’s something to the marriage thing if you’re into it. And it’s a little difficult to claim that no one falls in love. But God? I don’t think so. Have you seen the world lately?

Remus, do you ever think about trying for a job in the muggle world? No one would know about your furry little problem then.

Remus: Well that might be the plan. Of course I don’t have a muggle certificate…

Sirius: I’ll forge you one!

Shelley, when, why, and how did you become interested in James Potter when you have barely spoken to the guy? Do you ever worry that you come off as ridiculously creepy to him and those who actually know him?James: Was it a shock to find out that Shelley had a crush on you, or had you noticed before?

Shelley: it was first year. Dellinda Muth was making fun of my shoes. James said she looked like a cow. And how could he think I was creepy? He didn’t even know I existed. And love isn’t creepy it’s romantic. Plus, what’s not to love? He’s beautiful, he’s clever, he’s brilliant at Quidditch, he has wonderful hair, and he’s liked by just about everyone.

James: er… yeah… I thought she hated me. A bit of a surprise, I suppose…

James: Do you still want to play quidditch once you graduate?Other various characters of Jules' choice, do any of you have interesting career plans?

Jules insert: interesting that you bring this up as it plays into Chapter 33 in a big way.

James: Yep.

Lily: I want to write for The Daily Prophet. I’m leaning towards investigative journalism…

Donna: I want to work at the Cairo museum in Egypt, inspecting items that pass through for curses and magical remnants, with a focus on Ancient Runes.

Marlene: I’m… thinking.

Mary: I want to travel a bit, you know?

Peter: Er… no specific plans.

Remus: Do you know anyone that’d hire me?

Sirius: I plan to continue to be as brilliant as I am now, but without the uniform.

Adam: Muggle liasons.

Clancy: I’d like to write books, like my gran.

James and Lily, do you think 20 is too young to get married and have a baby? Frank and Alice seem pretty happy.

James: Absolutely.

Lily: Everyone is different, and no one rule can apply to everyone in every circumstance. Do I intend on doing that? No.

James, i realize your popular and stuff, but how on earth did you convince girls to date ---let alone shag --- you when you were chasing after Lily at the same time? Wouldn't that cause a bit of a strain on the relationship?

I got game.

It wasn’t like I was constantly outside her door, pleading with her to go out with me. I mean, there was the occasional… weekly… throw-away date request, but it wasn’t as though that was ALL I did. 

And I didn’t exactly have proper relationships. I mean, Sarah, technically, yes… but I didn’t ask Lily out during Sarah. Except once. As a joke.

Ish.

Lily, Marlene, Shelly - What does Amortentia smell like to you?

Lily: grass, summer air, soap, books, ink, and lemonade.

Marlene: vinyl, the sleeve of an LP, cinnamon, and cheese.

Shelley: James Potter. I think.

James, what do you think of Lily corresponding with your cousin, Sam?

Carlotta: incense, cinnamon, and something… foresty.

James: fresh air… something vaguely fruity, leather, and wood polish.

Remus: dusty books, strawberries, and tea. 

James, is this fruity smell possibly green apple?

Yeah, that might be it….

Lily and James, what do you both think of the name, Harry?

Lily: I love it. So classy. Sensible and fun and clever all at once. And a bit mischievous. 

James: well, it’s no Elvendork.

James, how do you think Lily looked at Alice and Frank's Wedding?

James: We know when and why you supposedly stopped your obsession with Lily, but when and why did you start? First year because of her pretty eyes? Fifth year because she was a prefect and you were a masochist? The people want answers!

Okay, I admit–it was probably first year.

But it’s not like there was some big, epic moment that I remember. It’s not like I remember the particular instant where I just… I dunno… was standing in queue outside potions when she was fighting with Gregory Smythe because he was taking the mickey out of Snivellus, and Smythe ended up crying, and she was just…

Anyway it wasn’t anything like that.

Mrs. Potter just how often does James talk about Lily Evans?

Not so much anymore.

And almost never directly to me.

But when he and Sirius were little tykes, they weren’t nearly as stealthy as they imagined…
