So as it turns out, the fave didn't have to wait that much longer. But man is Tangle deceptively tricky to draw right. (Hence ball hands)

I had actually posted the WIP 'cause I was just gonna leave this one to rot in my "I'll do it later" pile (mainly because of those darn Kicks).

But then I got motivation. Bless you, She-Hulk and your low-tier charm.

Trip drawing I've been holding on to for a while 'cause I thought it looked lamer than layman's.

But we're nearing Trip's first you-were-born-today day and I really do think Sonic Superstars does not get enough recognition for how much of a genuine follow-up to S3&K it is. So here.

There were no Kick problems with this one at least, so I can rest easy with that.

So I wanted to explain ALL parts of Dr. Pulse in this post but Great Gaia below I have typed way more on just the basics than I wanted so, uh...

DR. PULSE BASICS

So who is Dr. Pulse anyways?

Armed with self-made gloves that store all kinds of equipment. Dr. Pulse is a savant in all things medical, considered a miracle doctor with her surgical skills and deep understanding of chemistry and biology. She often travels in search of others in need, striving to eliminate all ailment, disease and plague in the world.

Dr. Pulse is also known for being a loud, obnoxious, egomaniacal and outright hazardous person to be around. Obsessed with herself as much as she is with diseases of all kinds. Not to mention her being under the effect of Gaia knows how many illicit substances at all times.

Despite her desire to aid and cure, most of that want comes from Pulse's incessant need of recognition and praise rather than just a humble duty. She will insist others to applaud her for so much as gracing her presence upon them and will stop at nothing until anyone who she's saved the life of says loud and clear; "Thank you, Dr. Pulse".

She also has a habit of infecting those around her with whatever disease she has stored in her gloves. For the sake of building immunity, so she says, but truthfully it's so she has more patients.

Dr. Pulse is paradoxically unpleasant and dangerous to have around, but also the one who will take in those in need and work her magic to fix them with the only payment wanted being praise. And knowing that without her, many lives would have been lost, is a fact Pulse herself finds feeling more euphoric than any drug could do.

This all comes from Dr. Pulse's full belief that she alone is this world's savior. Already unfazed by all disease herself, she wants to create the ultimate cure that will rid everyone of sickness for the rest of time. And be praised for it, of course. But she has many samples to gather and subjects (mainly Shadow the Hedgehog) to research beforehand.

"Bloody hell, it hurts to be this Swag! ... The painkillers must be wearing off..."

Some say she was well intentioned once, but the medical degree got to her head and now her goal is misguided at best: Grant everyone in the world full immunity to all disease! (And look Swag. doing it.)

With her genius, she built herself the ultimate medical tool. A glove that holds all kinds of surgical equipment and a concerning amount of needles even she loses track of what's in them.

Either way, she helps herself to a few doses of her own medicine and whatever else she has in stock every once in a while. Likely causes of her loud and outright maniacal personality with an ego as inflated as a bouncy castle.

She is also obsessed with the idea of replacing Tails as Sonic's sidekick, believing herself much more deserving of the role. Really, she's wrote many-a literature telling that fantasy. Though thankfully she mistook some other poor soul for Sonic for her to direct her stalking to.

Oh, and she has wired her own heart to a bomb that will explode and unleash countless plagues old and new upon the world if it ever stops beating. Y'know, for insurance.

Dr. Pulse is a mix of medical malpractice and Swag. only illicit substances could provide.

Yes, she is high all the time.

Yes, she will give you hepatitis in a bottle for the fun of it.

Yes, she does mumble her name all the time because she likes the sound of it.

Yes, she has her own theme song she made herself which consists of loud Russian hardbass, dubstep wubs and her occasionally screaming "DOCTOR PULSE!!!"
