playing erdtree with my pal we get invaded by someone named "Drip Inspector" and im like "waitwaitwait. ok lets just pose leaning back to back and wait for them to show up maybe our outfits will be so good they wont kill us"

so we wait until they show up and then they get reaaaal close to us . and then pull out their telescope and start circling around us and zooming in for a good 30 seconds. then they clap, use the "wonderful" and "youre beautiful" prattling pates, and jump off a cliff. invader vanquished

I should make another interest check for the tomb colonist party for those who didnt have a chance earlier to get invites, im still slowly chipping away at it.

"OH this is so exciting!!! I've never had anyone ask me about the Menagerie before!!" [Lionel rubs his hands together in sheer glee. The Tomb-Lion napping by his side rolls over and nearly takes him out in the process, yawning. What could've easily been mistaken for a furred hat uncurls from her head, revealing itself to be some sort of venomous squirrel, and a spindlewolf draped over her shoulders starts licking her cheek. On top of that, there's a sorrow-spider the size of a kitten in her lap she's trying to bathe. It doesn't seem happy about this but it's not trying to rip her eyeballs out, which is a miracle in itself.] "Gather round, gather round! Oh, don't worry about the sorrow-spider. I promise it doesn't eat that many eyeballs.

"Well, I've always been more comfortable with animals than people. That's a fact. I won't lie to you, when I first descended to the Neath I was going through quite a dark chapter of my life…" [Lionel tosses her hair with a small, self-deprecatory laugh amidst the jingling of rostygold.] "I spent my days no better than a beast for a while. Not to say that's a BAD thing, mind you. But the point is: All my precious critters, creatures and what have you were there for me when no one else was. At first I simply wanted them to have a home they could be comfortable in. Then I thought, well, it wouldn't hurt to share that with others, people and animals both! To have someone you can always depend upon. To love and be loved, unconditionally." [He promptly boops the Tomb-Lion with a couple of fingers and laughs when it utters a maudlin sigh worthy of Mahogany Hall.] [Why the shadow of a frown on his face all of a sudden?] "I know my choice of location is eccentric, yes. But it's the optimal layout for the Menagerie!! I sleep right above the shop so I can look after all the animals myself and if there's any emergency, here I am! Plus it's almost infinite space in there. What a bargain!" [Here she chuckles and releases the sorrow-spider in order to adjust her glasses. It does nothing except lie in her lap like a kitten, waving its legs around until she begins gently scritching its abdomen.] "Accessibility is key, you know. I want to be able to reach as many people as possible! Everyone should have someone to love. Even a pet. -I shouldn't say just a pet, they're so much more!"
