Something else I noticed in dead plate is that on day two rody says something along the lines of "Isn't that scary though? It's all gone if something happens to the restaurant" upon hearing that Vince lives above the restaurant.

Later in the game, you can burn down the restaurant for an ending.

I feel like that was foreshadowing, especially since there was the mini foreshadowing of lemon cologne and Vince liking lemons.
