this reminds me of that chinese tonystark gay self insert fanfiction i read thats litereally the plot but like :( instead of being a mage/magic it was called a superpower/technology im genuinely devestated once i realized it was marvel fanfiction like i had no clue because the translation was untagged and nowhere does it ever say that it was MARVEL FANFICTION AND LIKE you would not realize it in the first couple of chapters and the writing is like really well done like the author clearly planned everything and the worldbuilding utilized its charm just enough and it was good!! I was willing to read it and then BLACK WIDOW FROM THE AVENGERS NATASHA And i was like: okay cool they just want to do that parody thing that some webnovels do where N*tasha from M*rvel is referenced but its weird shes jsut a bratty secre AND THEN it turns out it was a marvel self insert okay so i dont know enough about marvel so its weird i dont think its particularly offsetting enough to stop but starting to question if it was supposed to be under the category of gay webnovels bc thats what i found the novel under when looking for story-based gay novels i checked i CHECKED to make sure it was and okay. so who was the love interest? I mean like. i am in fact here for more the plot than the romance but when your options is the marvel team with varying degrees of odd-relationships with the mc you start to get concerned however it does get worse After you get a lot of genuinely interesting worldbuilding and character development
