The scene where Zenitsu confronts Daki is such a subtle but masterful way of showing his growth, it's a massive jump in courage for him in a way that communicates a lot.
I think to explain that I kinda have to give a basic rundown of the series wrt Zenitsu, so basically up to this point he was present in 3 fights, one against a nameless and very weak demon, the Younger Spider Brother (who had a big amp from Rui), and one against Enmu aka LM1. This is relevant because all these characters have distinctive traits that would be sensed as scarier for Zenitsu, who is capable of hearing the demons' bloodlust. On the first two, he's scared shitless, passes out, and wins. That's it. On the third, the villain's main power is putting people to sleep and he succeeds in doing that against all of the heroes who were present, so he just stands in the background basically. Then Akaza, the 4th strongest person in the universe at this point, shows up, kills a superior that he really looked up to, and runs off.
And he STILL faces his fears and confronts someone who could be just as strong for all he knows. In that case, the only reason why he spent the fight unconscious was because after that confrontation the villain knocked him out and imprisoned him to kill him later (which backfired). He doesn't cower in fear, he doesn't run off and pass out, he confronts someone who could be a massive threat to his life while completely alone.
Because the thing about Zenitsu is that he's only a coward until it really matters. He hides and he cries and he screams, but when his friend tells him to protect something that he KNOWS is demonic in nature, and when a little girl is being hurt by a monster, he does step up. And that's the difference between Kaigaku and him, isn't it? Because Kaigaku trained without complaining, Kaigaku fought demons without fear, Kaigaku mastered the other 5 forms of Thunder Breathing, but when Kaigaku was actually threatened he just ran away, and begged for his life, and made Gyomei's other children and his VERY OWN MASTER die.
Because Zenitsu has courage beneath all the fear and Kaigaku has fear below all the courage

• Oh yeah I remember you mentioning that somewhere and tbh I get that it happened to me too but with Kny (〒ω〒) It's unfair, and upsetting, the engagement rate on most art posts–that aren't either skk nor a meme–in this fandom, but I'm glad you're getting more love, because you deserve all of it with your work!! You put a lot of care into it and your hard work bears fruit to beautiful art! I can't really blame the people for wanting some relief from the depressive canon through memes and shitposts, but I also can't deny that it does sting.

• I felt that on a spiritual level istg ಥ‿ಥ It's understandable, and imo drawing for a different fandom is a good change of pace and helps avoid burnout since drawing the same fandom all the time could get tiresome, even if you would generally find it fun. • My take on inokana: They complement each other in many ways. Inosuke is very loud, and Kanao is very quiet, but they've both seen each other in the rare state where they're not. I feel like Inosuke could bring out a little immaturity in Kanao and that she could teach Inosuke a fraction of patience. Inosuke definitely has some form of appreciation for her skills and capabilities, and he'd definitely hold her in high regard in his own mountain king way. I don't know why, but a gut feeling tells me they'd agree on a lot of things for completely different reasons, and I suppose she'd humour him when he wants to go exploring in the forests because why not? Personal hc: they would've stayed by each other's side during recovery where Kanao would tell Inosuke more about Shinobu, and would also tell him the occult stories Shinobu always used to tell while Kanae covered her ears. Anyways yeah I care about them a lot. The bsd friend that suggested rengokunikida is a genius because it's so fitting. The immaculate coincidence of both of them getting impaled in the stomach by an immortal being WHILE SMILING AND LOOKING AT PEACE is too perfect.

i'm actually on a side quest in finding every manga panel where zenitsu thinks of/interacts with any girl or woman in this series (to rant about this exact discourse) and the main thing i've noticed is how the reasons and compilations of zenitsu being a "pervert" are mostly season 1 source material, aka arcs before the red light district arc
not just that, but fans love having double standards
i looked and found the 1 scene where zenitsu was talking about women's bodies that was definitely weird (rehab training arc)
not defending him on this, this is certified weirdo shit to say given the fact that aoi and the butterfly girls aren't women, but girls, which is even weirder
another scene that people like to call zenitsu a pervert on is when aoi is training them
if we're gonna dub this as zenitsu harassing aoi, then let's also acknowledge the fact that inosuke was just as physically cruel to aoi (justice for aoi please)
another "zenitsu is a pervert" scene was literally him blushing at shinobu
but somehow tanjiro blushing at shinobu was perfectly fine and actually cute?
nevermind the fact that zenitsu thought of shinobu for her sound and her pretty face, and not her body like a lot of pervert gag characters would typically do
aside from his weird comments during the rehab training arc, i've never seen a scene where zenitsu was being "horny", like you'd think we'd see some weird suspicious shit during the mugen train arc, given enmu's blood demon art showing the ones inflicted of their deepest desires, but no! we didn't!
zenitsu does start out as a pervert gag character yes, and i understand first impressions make or break a character to most fans, but i can never stand when this guy's character is dismissed over a GAG, a gag that came up less and less throughout the story.
if we're gonna talk about zenitsu being weird about girls, let's also acknowledge the times where zenitsu has defended girls, not just nezuko, but the girls who daki scared and injured during the red light district arc, they were the reason zenitsu even fought daki to begin with.
Why do people have zenitsu SO MUCH!? Why do they make him the punchline of " Zenitsu is a horny/perv and thus must get hit by someone every chance they get" .Why!?!?!
He mentioned girls stuff( their legs or something like that) ONCE, He's 16 its kinda normal to sometimes think about that, and he only mentioned ONCE in the whole manga...

I love your art sososo much, and I would see it on my dash on occasion (it brought me happiness, but I never really kept up with the account, and I honestly high-key regret it), so when I saw your alt cast art, I remembered rbing the Kyōkenji x Inokana sketch you drew a while back, but I had no idea it was associated with an entire au!! I was estatic since I love the au concept, and I love both ships so much!!
Then, trust me, I was innocently scrolling through the tag when I came across rengokunikida... This man has no right being so jdbdjdbd
My thoughts immediately went to Murata when I saw TecchōGiyū, like yes he's such a pretty man, but my brain really likes to digress from the main point lmao.
Urokodaki as Fukuchi feels a little weird, but it's accurate dynamic-wise with Teruko, and Tachihara. What is Jōnō's relationship with Fukuchi in this au anyway?? It could go in so many directions I'm curious djehdhbd

Lucy is being squeezed, coddled, and showered with love and affection because she deserves to be loved, and Atsushi will gladly give her all the love in the world This Man Is Down Bad™. She fell first and hard, he fell second, and just as hard if not harder. They're so precious to me.
She loves romance according to her character sheet, so he's probably trying to be romantic here. He means well but given the vein on her her lower left cheek he might be squeezing a little too hard using his tiger strength.
The art is very gorgeous and I love how you drew Lucy's hair! Your gradient coloring is actually pretty cute, I love the pink!!
