Why are you whining about zutara takes when you have some of the absolute worst Zuko takes in the whole fandom lmao “wahhhh some people write Zuko doing chores, how can people like him when he literally helped a genocide…why doesn’t he just rape his sister instead 🥺 that’s so much better 🥺” get a life you brain rotted weirdo

1 - I write non-con purely for smut reasons. You're never gonna see me claim that's how the characters would really act.

2 - I have zero problem with people liking Zuko. I just don't like when they act like Aang is devil and would never learn from his mistakes, and then go praise Zuko's redemption even though his mistakes were WAY worse.

3 - The problem is not "Zutarians write Zuko doing chores". The problem is "Zutarians straight up lie about what happened in canon and say Katara had to do everything herself until Zuko showed up, just because he served tea to the group twice.

4 - I complain about you people because you're annoying as fuck and love playing the victim card, like you're doing right now, the second anyone points out that your takes are horrible and you guys just ship two ocs you call "Zuko" and "Katara."

UPDATE: Tiffany G did not make any of the three spots. So many people worked to spread the message on multiple platforms, and our AO3 is protecred from Censorship. Thank you to all who shared, commented and stood up for the truth of what was going on. Hopefully we can prevent something like this from happening again in the future!

Those who may not be aware, for the OTW election in progress there is one candidate who is practically out to end it all:

Tiffany G.

They are wanting to censor and make AO3 a place of control. They want to take our freedom to write and form it to what they think is the correct guideline to, "Make it more friendly."

AO3 already has a ton of filters and tags in place to aid in helping each person tailor their own AO3 experience. Something triggers them? They can filter that tag out. Wanna read G only? Can filter out the rest. Want to read E only?

Filter out the rest.

What this person is wanting to do, it'll take away the beautiful community we have. It is a platform of freedom, of writing what you desire and posting it to find others just like you. To try and put a semblance of authoritive control.. it's repulsing.

Please, please please for those who can vote, DO NOT VOTE FOR TIFFANY G. IF YOU DO AO3 WILL END AS WE KNOW IT.

re: Ao3 and child pornography.

Child pornography, and the exploitation of children is a really heavy topic because it deals with a vulnerable segment of society (children).

It is super disingenuous how anti Ao3'ers are hijacking such a weighty tropic and reducing it to fandom discourse du jour.

If you're that genuinely upset about what content is on Ao3, please take your righteous anger a bit further and actually do something.

Look up ways to help actual children that exist in the world rather than be enraged and castigate others online on Tumblr about fictional stories.

Or would that be too hard? Maybe it's easier to yell at the sky on social media because it gives a false sense of actually doing something?
