I'm not sure if I've ever said it .on here but (coming from someone with adhd) narrator is SO heavily implied to have it. I Feel like

W/o headcanons I mean like genuinely. First playthrough and I was like "HOLY SHIT HES JUST LIKE ME???"

specifically skip button ending I think showed a lot of it, though there's a few more endings that I don't really remember

I'd have to pull up the original dialouge to really remember and quote this right but something along the lines of "at the merest mention of one of my imperfections, I become as impetulant as a child — wild, and impulsive — I can't help myself!" And then later on questioning "for what purpose does such an impulse serve?"

Common asked question that I've asked myself and I've seen other people with adhd ask themselves too, why do we seem to have these impulses? It doesn't help half the time, so why? What good is it for? And why can we not prevent it?

And a thing I've noticed about myself personally, I'm not sure others, though — hearing that something I heavily focus on isn't good enough, or something I've hyperfocused/hyperfixated on isn't the best it can be, it hurts me terribly, enough to make a bad impulsive decision just to fix it.

Narrator couldn't stand the fact that he'd spent his life putting together this game, maybe even going sleepless nights or hurting himself mentally just to perfect it, and he was hearing negative feedback. He'd spent so long, planning in his head that people would love it, people would admire his effort — but no. People had other things to say about it. This led him to go with whatever suggestion they had, just trying to please them, trying to make sure his game was 'better'.

However — on impulse, he decided to make the skip button, without even remotely thinking about consequences. This would lead to a horrible ending for him, he'd spend countless years left in silence because of this decision.

Ermmm yeah I'm just rambling but he honestly seems SO adhd coded to me. I can explain more if needed
