After Cole’s crush was thrust into the open by Lovebug and infected Pixal, it made Kai start to question everything he’d known and felt up to that point about himself.
He remembered all the times where they were alone, where glances were shared and touches lingered, how he’d been so blind to it all and oh god did he have feelings for Cole???
And, you see, in order to break the love spell, you must either reciprocate feelings, or reject them, and Kai can’t bring himself to hurt him since he might actually feel the same. Then Nya confronts him about why he’s let Cole be lovesick over him for so long and well…

Basically Pixal gets turned into a love soldier by the big bad and shoots Cole with a love arrow, and everyone is like “oh no!! He’s gonna love Nya!!” Because of season 3 and then he goes STRAIGHT for Kai and everyone’s like. HUH
More shenanigans to ensue later ❤️

WHERE is my Rexwalker lovebug au
IDK if it existed in other fandoms but I first ran into this particular version in Voltron Basically, there's a Bug that acts like a cupid arrow If it bites you, you fall in love/infatuation with the first person you see And it takes a few days to wear off And if you already love the person, you don't act that different But if you aren't in love, then you act radically different (like love potion different) (If you're in Voltron to any degree I can link you a comic or fic)
I've got one where it's Anidala and all it does is take their Private Romance Dialogue and make it public. But Rexwalker would be A Wee Bit More Complicated.
The first question must be 'which one gets bit?'
Because if Anakin gets bit my first thought is "Anakin, and it brings all his bullshit to the surface."
But Rex getting bit and then being super touchy-feely...
