ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Hello everyone, I am here to tell you there's a new amphibia outlaw au fic coming out on July 29! This fic will be a continuation of chapter 1; "Dead Frog's Land" chapter 2 "Mysterious Mythics" will probably be published around 1AM - 3AM (CT) Central Standard time, depending on how long it takes and when i decide to begin writing it. Along with Chapter 3 (July 31) will come around the same time 1AM -3AM (CT) Central time, most likely the other chapters as well. The Outlaw AU takes place around season 2 before true colours, although the last chapter may include spoilers for true colours. If you have not seen true colours or amphibia i highly recommend both! Reading my fics really makes me happy and id love for you to read any fics i put out, and i do not own any of the characters like; Anne Boonchuy, Marcy Wu, Sasha Waybright, and ect. They all belong to the original creator Matt Braly! This AU on the other hand is completely original by me, if you do happen to make anything regarding this AU i'd love to be credited or at least tagged with #Amphibia Outlaw AU thank you so much for everything! K so I’ve seen a few posts and comments today about how Alador is a “good dad” and “cares for his kids” and uhhhhh no I’m not letting that slide.

I like that narrative and I wish it was true but. It’s not.

He’s complicit at best

He’s clearly not afraid of Odalia so it’s not like he can’t stand up to her, as shown in the end of Escaping Expulsion. He enables her and CLEARLY, she listens to him. So if he wanted her to stop - she would. But he doesn’t.

Maybe he doesn’t have the energy to argue with her every day or maybe he just doesn’t know how fucked up it is or maybe he actually doesn’t care about his kids’ wellbeing, idk. Either way neither of them are good parents.

Even if Alador isn’t the one hurting them or saying awful things or controlling them he’s still partaking in their abuse by allowing it to happen.

Bottom line, Odalia is literally abusing her kids (Amity at least but I’m assuming the twins too) and Alador let’s her do it even though he has the means to stop it if he wants to.

It just seems like they’re more focused on their inventions/business and money than their kids which makes me wonder why they had kids at all tbh. Nothing we’ve seen so far in the show points to either of them actually caring about their children so I can’t sit here and listen to people say what a good dad Alador is because no he fucking isn’t
