Can You Please Do A Sequel To The Thomas Piece You Posted?? I Would Love To See More Of Their Rekindled

Can you please do a sequel to the Thomas piece you posted?? I would love to see more of their “rekindled” (idk if that’s the right word) relationship evolve. Thanks so much!!

So, uh...I know what the doctor ordered and all, but I kinda made it real angsty cause I have no idea how to write anything other than angst so...yeah...🤡

Sorry if this was all over the place🤦🏻‍♀️

~~~~~~~~~~
Looking back on the past several months, you wondered if there was anything you could've done differently.
Maybe, if you just kept to yourself, none of this would be happening.
You and Thomas tried your best to get everyone out of the Maze, you really did. You knew there would be casualties, but you never thought it would be Chuck...or Newt.
After your memories returned, you and Thomas did everything in your power to try and convince the Gladers that you weren't the bad guys. Of course, Gally didn't take too kindly to that news; and when Teresa came up in the Box, all hell broke loose.
You had no idea how you managed to get out of that situation, but thankfully you had more than just Thomas and Teresa on your side. You escaped the Maze. You escaped W.C.K.D. You saved Minho and countless other kids that were taken. Now...you were safe, as crazy as it sounds.
A part of you wished you never got your memories back. You wished you could've just stayed in the Glade with Chuck, Newt, Alby, Ben, or even Teresa. It was hard to not blame yourself, because you were to blame. Maybe none of this would've happened if you just stayed away from Thomas.
Sure, you harbored a bit of resentment. Not just at him though, the whole situation was fucked up, and you knew that, it wasn't fair to blame it all on one person.
Seeing so many of your friends die, in part, because of you, put a strain on your relationship with Thomas. It sucked, because you all were on the run for so long that you didn't even get a chance to spend quality time with him. All you had was your memories to keep you company, which is more than anyone else could say. Which, you guessed, made you lucky.
All these memories coming back to you in an instant, remembering how Thomas was then compared to who he is now, it took some getting used to. Before the Maze, you had a very specific idea of who Thomas was, who he was to you. He was your best friend. He was your partner. He was your soulmate. So why did you start to see things so differently?
It was subtle, at first, just little things you disagreed on from time to time. Like, how you both handled conflict. Then, when Gally became a problem, you had very different ideas on how to handle him. Ultimately, that problem came to a head quickly and you had no choice but to go along with Thomas' plan.
But after escaping the Maze, you two practically disagreed with everything. Granted, looking back, you wished you had agreed on certain things. You were ashamed of yourself for how you treated the Winston situation. When he got infected, you already came to the conclusion that he was just dead weight. Obviously, Thomas had an issue with that. You were never that close to the kid, neither was Thomas, but he was still dead set on dragging him across the desert. It was only when Winston tried to kill himself is when Thomas finally broke.
You apologized to Thomas that night, but he surprised you when he said he understood where you were coming from. He knew Winston would've make it, but he was too stubborn and scared to admit it to himself. That moment was the first time you kissed him since you had gotten your memories back, and Thomas kissed you back.
You always made a strong effort to see things Thomas' way, even if he didn't notice it. But your opinions were so strong sometimes, that you'd completely ignore the pit in your gut that told you that he'd never agree, even if you made a compelling argument. It was frustrating. You knew that some of your ideas were a bit lackluster, you came from a more inconspicuous, strategic approach when it came to plans, whereas Thomas was more guns blazing. But when it came to Minho's rescue mission, both of your views came in handy.
Even now, you wondered if you had went along with Thomas' plan of attack, would Teresa still be alive? Would Newt? Obviously, you had no way of knowing. But just the thought that maybe you might've been at fault made you shut down sometimes.
You had yet another argument with Thomas, and you just couldn't handle being around him anymore. It wasn't the smartest of plans, but you snuck out of camp and wandered into the forest away from the beach. Even in the heat of your rage, you were almost positive you could find your way back again, so you didn't worry. All you tried to focus on was steadying your heartbeat, but all you could do was take an unpleasant trip down memory lane.
It probably should've worried you that it was getting dark really quick. If you were still at camp, you could probably still see the sun going down. But the forest pretty much blocked out all light, even the moon just barely peaking through the trees. But you stayed, suspended a couple feet in the air, sitting on a sturdy tree branch.
Your wrist started to itch, the annoying stinging sensation forcing you out of your state of tranquility and back into the real world. You had to physically stop yourself from huffing, rolling your eyes when you realized that he was close by.
Ever since that day in the Maze, you could always sense Thomas' presence, the ink in your skin giving off a slight burning feeling whenever he was close by. It would start off dull, barely noticeable. The feeling would intensify the closer Thomas would be in proximity until it completely stopped.
"Y/n?"
"Go away." You quickly replied harshly, not even turning around to look at him.
"You need to come back to camp, it isn't safe out here."
"Oh, like it's any safer across the ocean." You sighed.
This was the hundredth disagreement, Thomas wanted to go back to the mainland. His hero complex finding it difficult to just stay in the Safe Haven while there may be other people in need of help. Teresa seemed to finally break him from beyond the grave. He wants to find a way to replicate the cure that she gave to him before she sacrificed herself.
You thought it was stupid. You kept thinking about everyone that has been hurt, everyone that was murdered, all their friends that were experimented on by W.C.K.D. in their hopes of finding a cure. Thomas held the cure in his hand, but it's always never enough. It's like he has to put himself in danger to find a purpose in life. You were almost sure that they was no purpose, just survive.
In the Glade, you had more hope, surprisingly. Without your memories, you woke up with a tiny bit of hope, hope that the world outside the Maze would be better. But then it wasn't. You remembered how shitty the world really was, it even made you miss the Glade. It was a cage, that's for certain, but it almost seemed like you were safer there.
Sure, you were safe now. But your experiences in the Maze combined with all your memories that you had to deal with, you changed, you and Thomas both. Sometimes, it didn't really feel like you were the same people before you lost your memories. Maybe that's why you two were at odds constantly, maybe you two weren't actually soulmates. Who knows what put those tattoos on your skin, it could've been W.C.K.D. for all you knew. It was a very disheartening thought.
"Come on, Y/n. This again, seriously?" Thomas scoffed. "I thought you of all people would understand why I need to do this. If we can replicate the cure, who knows what that could mean for us? For the whole world?"
You sighed, jumping down from the tree branch and standing to face him. "Thomas, I never said we shouldn't try to make more cures. I just think it's idiotic to try and go back to that hellscape."
"It's not that I want to, we don't have the proper tools here that can make it easier to remake the serum."
"Last time we were there, all those buildings were being blown up. Most likely, it's all rubble and ash by now. There wouldn't be anything left to salvage."
"But not impossible."
"Thomas..."
"It's not impossible. Those specific buildings might be gone now, but you know how many more W.C.K.D. facility's there are. We have those coordinates."
"Those buildings are probably overrun by Cranks."
"But there still might be equipment left, and that's enough for me. We owe it to Teresa to try."
You rolled your eyes. "We don't owe her anything, Thomas. She betrayed us all, remember?"
"She saved my life. Our life. Surely, you remember that." You didn't reply. "She was like a sister to you, Y/n. Those feelings aren't just something that goes away overnight."
"It's easier when you remember she always had an agenda to begin with." You snapped, but quickly felt guilty when you saw the tears in Thomas' eyes. Your gaze softened. "Replicating the cure isn't gonna bring her back...we have to move on."
"I know...I know it won't bring her back..." Thomas whispered, slowly sitting down on this forest floor.
You sighed, kneeling down beside him. "I admire that you...want to save the world. But you shouldn't go on a suicide mission because of one person who's not even alive anymore." You said as softly as possible, the chirps of insects around you almost drowning you out.
"You think this is just about Teresa?" Thomas quickly asked, furrowing his brows.
You shrugged. "I know how hard you took her death. And yeah, it's been hard for me too. I was just so angry at her that I didn't allow myself to mourn. But I honestly think that Teresa wouldn't want you to kill yourself over this cure just for her."
Thomas let out a bitter chuckle, shaking his head. "It was never just about her. I...I couldn't save Newt. He wasn't immune, and I am. And I could've saved him if I had just listened to Teresa. So many people on this island aren't immune. Including you...if there's even the slightest chance I could make more cures in order for you to be safe...it's more than enough for me. I can't lose you too."
"Thomas..."
"I can't lose you."
You shook your head, quickly grabbing onto Thomas' hands. "Hey," You said softly, "you're not going to lose me."
"How do you know?"
"Thomas, no one here has the virus. And we're so far away from the mainland...don't you think it would be affecting people already if it could reach us here?"
Thomas stayed silent, casting his gaze to the forest floor dejectedly.
You sat closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder, but still keeping your hands on his. "Thomas, I think the worst is over now. We don't have W.C.K.D. hanging over our heads, and we're not running for our lives anymore...we shouldn't have to worry about this kind of stuff anymore."
"Sometimes it's hard to believe that we don't have to run for our lives anymore..." Thomas whispered softly.
You frowned, leaning more into Thomas. "I know...I've been feeling the same way."
Thomas brought up your wrist, kissing his tattooed name gently. "I'm sorry. I hate arguing with you."
You smiled weakly. "It's okay. I'm sorry too."
"I remember you telling me that my stubbornness will get me killed someday." He chuckled, then sighed. "You weren't wrong. I know I'm stubborn."
"Hey, it's not just you. I know I'm stubborn too."
"We make such a good pair, don't we?" He joked.
The thought about the origins of your tattoos came back into your mind, causing you to frown slightly. "Do you ever think about our tattoos?" You asked hesitantly. "Like, about how they got there in the first place?"
Thomas inhaled deeply. "Yeah. I have."
"Do you think W.C.K.D. is the one who put these here?" You asked, rubbing your thumb over Thomas' tattoo.
"I don't know...maybe. But even if they did, it doesn't matter to me. I love you, and that'll never change."
You looked up at Thomas, seeing that he was already looking at you with a small smile. You felt your face heat up when he moved a strand of your hair out of your face, his fingers lingering on your cheek. "Thomas...?"
"Hmm?"
You leaned in and placing your lips against his gently. "I love you too."
Can you do a fic about you being Will’s celebrity crush and him talking about it in an interview? I love your writing so much
Of course, sweet Anon!😊Such a cute idea, I was pretty much giggling and smiling like a baby while writing this honestly lmao
~~~~~~~~~~

Will wasn't normally the type to talk about crushes that he had, especially during interviews, but there was just something about you that made him unable to shut up.

"So, who is this special person that you love talking about so much?"

Will immediately blushed, grinning nervously at the interviewer's question. "How'd you know about that?"

The interviewer laughed. "Your costar, who I interviewed before, said you kept going on and on about this actor. They said I should bring it up."

"Oh, of course they did. They love embarrassing me. Okay, um, recently I've been a bit enamored with this actor I discovered. Y/n L/n."

"Oh! I've heard of them! Been in a lot of fantastic movies. I can see why you're so smitten."

Will knew he must've been beet red, his face so hot he felt like it was going to melt off. Thankfully, the interview ended quickly and he didn't have to embarrass himself further.

It wasn't that long ago when Will first found out about you. He went to see a movie with his friends, and it happened to be a movie you starred in. After that, Will made it his new hobby to watch every movie you'd ever been in. Even the first films that you were in. Watching interviews of you, you seemed like such a nice person. He shared a lot of your views and opinions, he almost couldn't believe you were real.

Being in the same career field, Will held out hope that he'd meet you one day. But alas, he's never even been in the same area as you yet. Of course, his friends had to tease him about his newfound crush. But they were also supportive in the idea that he'd meet you one day. He didn't think it would be any time soon. But that voice in the back of his head loved to focus on the "what ifs."

Will was on a press tour for a new movie he was in, so he was almost too busy to even think about possibly meeting you, which he was kind of thankful for.

In your neck of the woods, one of your friends sent you a link to a YouTube video.

Now, your friend loved trolling you, so most of the videos you got sent were just Rick Rolls. The thumbnail was of Will Poulter smiling during an interview, and your friend knew how much you admired him as an actor. You knew it was probably just another troll video, but your curiosity got the better of you.

You were surprised to see that it was, indeed, an actual interview video. But you were even more surprised to see your name in the title.

Will Poulter On His New Movie and Celebrity Crush: Y/n L/n! 😱😱

Clickbait, obviously.

You usually hating feeding in to that kind of clickbait shit, but you were anxious to see if Will did mention you at some point in the video. You were pretty much giggling like a school girl as soon as you got to the part where he talked about you. You awed out loud when you quickly noticed how red his face turned, but you kind of started to hate that interviewer and their line of questioning. You were pretty private about your personal life during interviews and the like, so you could imagine how uncomfortable you'd be being asked questions like that. But, you could only speak for yourself.

Then, you got a mischievous idea.

You were acquainted with one of Will's costars, so you decided to send a quick DM to them with an idea.

A few days later, Will was exhausted from all the press stuff he had to do for the new film, but it was a good exhaustion like it usually was. He had one more interview to do that day then he'd have a couple days off to relax, which he was excited for. He was thankful he didn't have to do the interview himself, a couple of his costars would be joining him this time.

The interviewer came in, did the usual greeting and congratulating on the success of the movie and expressing their positive opinions. Will could've answered all the questions in his sleep, having to answer so many that were pretty much the same. It was almost like he could put himself on autopilot if the interviewer focused on asking questions to his castmates.

The interviewer directed a question at Will, and he internally sighed. "So, have you gotten the chance to meet that actor you love so much?" The interviewer grinned excitedly.

Will hated how easily he blushed just at the sound of your name. "Ah, no. I haven't. I doubt it'll be anytime soon, if ever, so I'm not going to get my hopes up. But as of right now, I hope I don't meet them cause I'd probably embarrass myself."

"Aw, that's a shame."

Will froze, tensing up and his blush deepening. He turned around in his chair to see you, grinning beautifully. "Oh my god..." He uttered, too shocked to say anything else.

"Hello, everyone!" You greeted, giving a quick hug to your friend.

Will looked at his costar in disbelieve. "Did you do this?" Will's costar grinned proudly, nodding confidently.

"Well, if you don't want to see me right now, I can leave."

"No!" Will quickly blurted out, much louder than he intended, causing you to giggle. "Sorry, uh," He was at a loss for words, your presence such a surprise that he could barely form a sentence.

"That's okay! I wasn't planning on crashing for too long. I'll see you guys when you're done." And with that, you left the room, leaving the interviewer to finish their questions.

Will was pretty much in a stunned silence for the rest of the interview, which elicited some teasing from his castmates. He was so anxious for the interview to end that it felt like it was going on forever, so when it ended, Will all but ran out of the room to see you waiting patiently outside the building with your headphones on, mouthing along to whatever you were listening to.

You quickly noticed Will's presence, taking off your headphones and walking up to his with an approachable smile. "Well, hi there! Hope I didn't give ya a heart attack in there!" You laughed, it was like music to Will's ears.

Will shook his head with a nervous smile. "I've never had a heart attack before, but I imagine that's as close as I've gotten so far."

You laughed, placing a hand on his arm. "Sorry!"

Will tried to shake of the immediate spark of electricity he felt at your simple gesture. "It's fine. It was good, it was really good, you got me. So, I'm guessing that was my castmate's idea?"

"No, it was mine, actually."

Will furrowed his brows with a small smile. "Really? Why?"

"Well," You drew out flirtatiously, "I saw that interview."

Will groaned, running his hands over his face as he felt his face heat up for the third time that day. "Oh god..."

"Hey, don't worry! I thought it was really cute." You smiled.

Will looked through the crack between his fingers to look at you. "You did?" He tried to hide his wide grin.

You nodded. "I did. I really wanted to meet you. And since you were close to my town, I thought I'd surprise you."

"Well, consider me surprised." Will chuckled.

"So, if you're not doing anything later, wanna go get a drink with me or something?" You smiled while slightly nibbling on your bottom lip.

Will smirked and nodded. "I'd love to."

~~~~~~~~~~
Wow, I actually love how this one came out. It's so cute and my mouth hurts from smiling😂
Tell me, what nicknames do you think the gladers would call their girlfriend?
I don't really know to be honest. I'm not too privy to nicknames and pet names, and I don't really like them personally. But I think "Greenie" would be a sort of term of endearment. And "She-Bean", I frickin' love that nickname actually. I don't know where it originated, but I read it in @gladerscake recent imagine and it's adorable
A Gally request! Could you do one where she’s from group b and travelling with Thomas and co when Gally finds them and she’s just sort of soft and innocent, like she just stays sunshiney despite the nonsense they’re all going through and he just falls hard for her? And everyone is surprised because “the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one”?? -E
Of course, lovely! It's such an irresistible trope, even warming a heart as cold and dead as mine🥰
~~~~~~~~~~

You had no idea what was going on.

You escaped that W.C.K.D. facility with Thomas and his friends after some heavy convincing.

You didn't know why, but you felt like you could trust them, even though that Thomas kid seemed a bit in over his head. But, anything was better than getting experimented on by crazy scientists.

Now, you were standing in front of a bunch of military looking guys, one apparently Thomas knew. He might've not been a friend since he sucker punched him. Maybe it was complicated...?

You soon learned that the guy that Thomas punched was Gally, he was in their Maze but they all thought he was dead. Thomas didn't really take it very well when you congratulated Gally on being alive, but you were just trying to be nice.

You had a problem with being too happy-go-lucky, it put a lot of people off, especially Thomas and his friends.

It was like that for awhile, just everyone looking to you with judging eyes at your relentless optimism. You tried to dial it down a little for the sake of getting along with everyone else, but you were just so naturally a glass half full type of person that you couldn't help it.

At one point, you were almost certain that Thomas wished they all had left you behind. It was a pretty miserable experience, not being liked or wanted, but you always tried to look at the positive and not let it get to you.

The only person who seemed to enjoy your attitude and general company was Gally, the one person Thomas told you to stay away from, because of course it had to be him.

You didn't understand why Thomas hated Gally so much. Besides having a little bit of a no nonsense attitude sometimes, he seemed pretty cool. Every time you tried to ask him about it, he'd change the subject or simply ignore the question. It was pretty obvious to you that it must've been a sore subject, but it didn't stop you from spending most of your time with Gally.

It was strange for Gally, he never had a time in his life where he could be completely himself. In the Glade, his only role was Keeper of the Builders, and he told himself that certain qualities had to come with it. It's not like he was pretending to be tough all the time, he knew that he was tougher than most, but he thought he could only be tough. He had to be an example, he couldn't show any weaknesses.

But with you, he didn't have to be tough, he didn't have to act a certain way to appear strong and invincible. You were always true to yourself, even when others didn't like it. You inspired Gally, a part of him at least. He wasn't going to suddenly have a complete personality change, but he was going to try to not have such a tough exterior around you.

The problem that Gally had was how everyone reacted to his newfound relationship with you, how he was so gentle whenever he interacted with you. Did they not think that Gally was capable of being nice? It made him a bit self-conscious, but whenever he saw the smile you wore whenever he was around, he couldn't care less what everyone else thought about him as long as your smile was because of him.

You both thoroughly enjoyed each other's company, no matter the situation, even working the boring maintenance repairs on damaged weapons or vehicles, which is what you both were currently doing. It took a bit of time to get used to the work, you never were the type to build and repair things, you usually were the one to heal the girls back in your Maze. You supposed you knew how to repair, but only on living beings.

Meanwhile, your fellow W.C.K.D. escapees were watching you and Gally interact with great confusion and curiosity. "She just dropped one of his tools." Frypan voiced with a slight shock. "And he doesn't look like he wants to crucify her...?"

"I wasn't even allowed to touch any of his tools back in the Glade." Newt added, taking a more of an offense than shock. "Can't imagine the pain he'd inflict on me if I did, much less mishandle one. Must be really bloody smitten."

Thomas shuddered in disgust. "Still don't know what she sees in him."

"More like him in her." Fry joked, laughing loudly with pride.

"Fry, ew!"

~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry if it's a bit short, I just really enjoy short and sweet fluff pieces I guess lmao
Can I be that shank who asks to sort the gladers into hogwarts houses?
You're no shank!! I love sorting characters into Hogwarts houses cause I'm a shuckin' nerd ANYWAY. I'm no expect at this, so these will be my own opinions
House Sorting under the cut 😊
Thomas: Absolute Gryffindor, pretty obvious I think since he's so...well, himself. Impulsive, a bit reckless, and stupidly brave can pretty much sum him up.
Newt: Hufflepuff, definitely. I have no other reason why other than he's baby and he's loyal to a fault.
Minho: I'm pretty sure he'd be a Ravenclaw. He has to be pretty heckin' smart to be a Runner, mapping out the Maze and quick on his feet. I think he suits Ravenclaw well.
Gally: He's kinda a tricky one for me. In the first movie, he pretty much exudes Slytherin energy. Pretty smart for a Builder, very self preservative for the most part. But then switching gears to Death Cure, his personality kinda does a 180 a bit. He pretty much wanted to protect his friends more than himself which seemed to me like a drastic change from Maze Runner. I think he's more Slytherin, but maybe a hint of Gryffindor after his character development. maybe i'm just projecting
Chuck: Hufflepuff, nough said.
Alby: Book Alby's definitely a Slytherin in my opinion. Movie Alby is more Ravenclaw.
Frypan: He's also kinda tricky. Probably a mix of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, but to me he feels like more of a Gryffindor due to the fact he goes along with Thomas' dumb ideas lmao
Teresa (I mean, she's not technically a Glader but I'll sort her anyway): Definite Ravenclaw. I know some people will think she's Slytherin due to her personality trait "betrayal," but she's scientist sooo, think it's obvious.
And those are my hot takes lol. I know I didn't do ALL the Gladers, but those are the ones that I have a bit more, idk, connection to i guess
Okay, so can you do a fix it fic for newt where he IS immune and makes it to the safe haven and finally confesses he’s in love with reader? He deserves a happy ending -E
I already have an imagine with a similar ask, you can find that here, but I'll make another one just because you're so sweet
Warning: Kinda made Thomas and Vince douchebags, just a tad.
~~~~~~~~~~

This isn't happening...

This...can't be happening...

You looked down in absolute confusion and horror at your forearm, it looked like it was...rotting.

How could this be happening? You thought you were immune. You knew that you were immune. So, why the hell were you infected? This had to be a nightmare, right?

But it wasn't, the next day you woke up and your arm was only getting worse.

Your first instinct was to keep it to yourself, suffer alone and wait until the last minute to tell your friends. But it was a late night, you couldn't sleep due to the pain you were in and the fever that started to set in, you sat outside your hut on the beach, sobbing as you watched the sun start to rise over the dark waves. You thought you were alone...

Newt found you in tears, quickly switching to panic mode and trying to figure out what was wrong. You accidently panic told him in your frantic mental state. You didn't want to die, you spent too much effort on making sure you and your friends survive to just get the virus when you were supposed to be immune.

Newt was devastated, almost as much as you were. You were the person he cared about the most, so to hear such heartbreaking news caused him to try to find a solution at any cost.

Being Thomas' best friend, he knew about the last serum he was given by Teresa in her last moments. He knew how much it meant to Thomas to keep that safe, but you were more important and he was feeling desperate.

You felt ambushed as all your friends and Vince came up to you, immediately asking you multiple all at once, causing a sensory overload that made you crave an escape. "Guys, enough!" Newt shouted, silencing everybody. "You aren't helping." You gave him a grateful smile.

Vince sighed disapprovingly. "How long has this been going on? When did you first notice your symptoms?" He asked, as delicately as possible.

"A couple days ago..." You answered timidly, impulsively reaching for your infected arm.

"We still have time to save them, then." Newt voiced, causing Vince to furrow his brows.

"Son, there's nothing we can do now...I'm sorry."

"No. No, Tommy has a cure."

"Newt!" Thomas scolded, but it was too late. Everyone in the room looked to him in confusion. "I...uh..."

"Is that true?" You asked, suddenly feeling a spark of hope.

Thomas frowned, running his hands over his face in frustration. He shook his head slightly as he grabbed the lone blue vial from his pocket, displaying it in his palm for everyone to see.

"You had that all this time and you didn't say anything?" Vince asked.

"Teresa gave it to me...I wanted to protect it."

"Well, now we have a reason to use it. Give it here-" Newt walked up to Thomas and reached for the vial, but he pulled away quickly. "What are you doing? Y/n needs that."

"It's...it's the only one in the world..." Thomas muttered, guiltily looking at you.

You realized then. You weren't getting the cure. It was all Thomas had left of Teresa, and it was the only one in existence. "And you don't want to waste it on me..." You smiled bitterly.

"No!" Thomas quickly replied. "That's not it at all! It's just, what if we can replicate it? What if we can make more?"

"Tommy, Y/n doesn't have time like that. You wouldn't even know where to start, much less know what to do to make more. We can save Y/n, right now." Newt ranted.

"But what about everyone around the world that's not immune? We just let them die when we can do something about it?"

"Guys..." You called out weakly and sighed. "It's okay...if you can use it to save thousands of people...don't waste it on me."

Newt frowned angrily. "No." He looked to Vince, only to see another guilty expression. "You agree with Thomas?"

"I never said that...I do think we need to talk more about it."

"What's there to talk about?" Newt raised his voice. "Y/n's infected! And we have something that can save them! This should be a no brainer!"

You put a hand on Newt's shoulder, trying to calm him. "It's okay, Newt."

Newt shook his head, turning around and storming out of the area.

You felt Thomas' eyes on you, he looked like a kicked puppy. "I get it, Thomas..." You sighed reluctantly. "Teresa's cure is...important." Thomas didn't reply, in fear of making things worse. "I should go find Newt..." You said, mostly to yourself, not speaking another word to either of those guys.

You found Newt red in the face, his brows knitted together, and his hands balled up into tight fists. "I can't believe this..." He started. "He should've given you the cure as soon as I told him."

"Newt," You sighed, "it...it's okay."

Newt looked to you confoundedly. "What? No, no, it's not! If you don't get that cure, you'll die!"

You couldn't help the tremble in your bottom lip, the thought of succumbing to the virus scaring the hell out of you. "What if Thomas can make more, though? Just imagine how many people would be saved."

"I don't care about other people, I care about you, right now."

You weren't sure if your face was heating up due to your oncoming fever, or if you were just blushing. Still, you gave Newt a sad smile. You didn't know what to say. A small part of you had already accepted your fate, and you wanted to comfort Newt, but you knew telling him to accept it along with you wouldn't help. So, you said nothing else.

You left that conversation at a tense moment, but you had nothing else to say that would help anything. The night passed along agonizingly slow, your fever only intensifying, making you toss and turn unable to get to sleep. But you weren't the only person who couldn't sleep.

Newt felt rage like he never had before. He couldn't understand why Thomas would keep the cure from you. He couldn't take no for an answer, no way.

Thomas jumped when Newt stormed into his hut, grabbing him by his shirt collar and shoving him up against the wall. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you?" Newt yelled angrily.

Thomas put his hands up in surrender. "Newt," He stuttered, "you don't understand-"

"No. No, I don't understand. Y/n's your friend too, why aren't you helping them?!"

"I do want to help them! I do!" Thomas pushed Newt away, quickly running his hands through his hand in frustration. "It's just...Vince and I really think we can replicate the serum. He managed to save Mary's research, and now that we know my blood is the secret ingredient, we can make more."

Newt sighed. "Tommy...Y/n doesn't have time. They need it...now."

Thomas shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry, Newt...but I can't do that. The survival of the human race depends on that one serum."

Newt didn't say anything, he didn't even really feel anything. He silently walked out of Thomas' hut, going back to yours to check up on you. Maybe seeing you would keep him from burning the Safe Haven to the ground, that wasn't the case however.

You were asleep when Newt came in, but it was less than a peaceful sight.

You were breathing rapidly, sweat drenching your clothes and the bed beneath you, black and purple veins like vines wrapping up and around your arm, stopping just below your neck. You were getting worse, and fast.

Fuck this.

Newt went back to Thomas' hut, waiting until he knew he was asleep, then he searched as silently as possible for that damn serum. It only took a few minutes to find what he was looking for. Thankfully, Thomas didn't wake up despite not being the heaviest sleeper.

Newt all but sprinted back to your hut, clutching the cure that would save you close to his chest, ignoring all the pain that shot up his leg.

You were awake by the time he arrived, the fever getting almost unbearable. When Newt came running back into your hut, you immediately noticed the bright blue vial of liquid in his hand. "Newt...?" You voiced weakly, your throat feeling like you hadn't had water in a century.

"You were supposed to still be asleep..." He mumbled, taking a seat beside you.

"Newt, I already told you. It's okay, you shouldn't waste the cure on me."

Newt shook his head. "No, I don't accept that."

"Did Thomas give you the serum?" You had your answer when Newt didn't reply, avoiding your gaze. "Newt, go give it back." You tried to scold, but that only made Newt stare at you in bewilderment.

"Do you want to shucking die?!"

"No...no, of course not." You sighed. "But this isn't right, you know that."

"I don't care."

"Newt, no!" Newt didn't give you a choice, he held down your arm and injected the serum into your bloodstream.

You felt the effects almost instantly. It was like walking out of an oven and into the fresh air, your whole body covered in goosebumps as your fever finally broke. Your arm felt alive again, it didn't feel dead and numb, you could almost move your fingers without feeling excruciating pain. You didn't even realize you passed out until you woke up the next morning, seeing Newt asleep in the chair next to your bed.

From the look of it, Newt didn't seem to leave your side all night. And your assumption was right for the most part.

After giving you the cure, Thomas rushed into your hut exasperated. "It's too late, Tommy."

"Newt..."

"I had to. I couldn't let them die."

Thomas was upset, but he wasn't angry at Newt. You were his friend too, of course he didn't want you to die. In his heart, he was really happy you were cured, but the loss of the only serum weighed heavy on his soul that he couldn't focus on anything else. He just decided to not talk to Newt, or anyone else, until he got his emotions under control. He'd apologize to you, eventually.

You felt a hell of a lot better, you felt energetic for the first time in months. You felt guilty, guilty that you were happy that Newt got you the cure in time. You didn't know how you could face everyone, but that was your future self's problem.

The soft groan that escaped your lips as you tried to sit up woke Newt, quickly helping you. "Hey..." He started softly. "You look so much better. How do you feel?"

"Like there's coolant running through my veins." You joked, but soon frowned.

"What?"

"What happened, with Thomas?"

Newt shrugged weakly. "Not as pissed off as I thought he'd be, if I'm being honest."

You sighed. "I can't even imagine how he must be feeling right now."

"Why are you so worried about him? You should be worrying about yourself."

"I don't have to anymore, since you stole the serum for me."

"And what was I supposed to do, huh? Let you turn into a Crank, let you die?" Newt raised his voice, but quickly calmed himself when he saw you flinch. "Sorry..."

After a long pause, you spoke up timidly. "I just don't understand...why did you do this for me?"

Newt chuckled. "You really don't know?"

"Know what?"

Newt blushed. "I couldn't let you die...because I'm in love with you, slinthead." Now it was your turn to blush, and blush you did. "Did your fever come back?" Newt asked, genuinely concerned.

You giggled, trying to hide your blushing face. "I'm fine. I guess I wasn't expecting that response."

Newt smiled softly. "Well, it's true...I love you. And if you don't feel the same way, that's okay. I just needed you to know that. I'll let you rest now."

Newt stood up to leave, but you quickly grabbed his wrist. "Wait! Don't go..." He sat back down beside you, interlacing his fingers with yours. "You saved my life."

"I shouldn't have waited as long as I did to get that serum for you."

You gave his hand a squeeze. "Please, you didn't have to do that for me, but you did. Don't regret anything."

Newt glanced at your lips, then back to your loving gaze. "No regrets..." He gently grabbed hold of your face, leaning forwards and planting a passionate kiss on your lips.

You didn't know if the aftereffects of the virus was still causing you to not make sense of the world around you, but you couldn't sworn his lips tasted like strawberries. Even if they did, the warmth of his soft skin relaxed you, making you feel safe. You hadn't felt this safe in your life, not even your mother's hold made you feel so invincible.

A single tear ran down your face, the feeling of love overwhelming your senses so much that it had to escape through your tear ducts.

Maybe it was because Newt saved your life, you had heard once that it was common to fall in love with someone who saved your life, but you quickly dismissed that thought.

Even before you got infected, before Newt saved your life, you realized that you always had feelings for him. During your time in the Glade, during the Scorch, during everything you endured together, you had fallen in love with him. Him saving your life only strengthened that feeling tenfold.

You were alive, finally healthy. You could spend the rest of your life, however long it would be, knowing that you were safe from the virus.

You were safe with the love of your life, until the end of your days.
