Unpopular Opinion But I Think Crashing Having Only One Season Is Perfect. I Mean I Too Want To See More
Unpopular opinion but I think Crashing having only one season is perfect. I mean I too want to see more of the characters and their chaos and what is going ot happen next - especially with Sam and Fred - but the beauty about them is the chaos. I don't see any way of how to resolve the issues or how to come full circle. I don't want to see Anthony actually choosing between Lulu and Kate, or Lulu and Anthony potentially ruining their relationship, or the thing with them always standing between their happiness cos they're just not functioning adults, because we've already seen it. But even more so do I really not want to see them become proper adults. The mess is what attracts us to them. The ending of season 1 just made sense. Every hidden secret is out in the open now, and they can choose to handle it maturely or pretend like nothing happened, and that is true for all of them, and the eviction symbolises that. Their lives were crashed and now it's up to them to keep moving. Find a proper flat, be an adult, or live in another abandoned building and keep living their lives as they used to. It's poetic.

Fer.al was a pretty average but very pleasant little animal-based RPG for young teens that never made it out of early access because the lead dev forcibly terminated it and recycled it into an NFT platform (hope you lose every penny you have, buddy <3 )
The gameplay itself was unremarkable to unplayably buggy, but the aesthetic was cool, the playerbase was extremely neurodivergent with lots of baby gays just discovering themselves, and what REALLY set the game apart was the character customization. Players could colour and resize the character model parts and create markings using decals; coloured shapes that you could slap up to 30 of on one “look”, to create anything you wanted. Used in combination with the ability to change the colour of apparel items with dyes, I have never seen such an absolute explosion of avatar creativity outside of like, games that allow custom content uploads like Second Life. I wish I had taken more screenshots while the game was alive, but here are a few of my faves (plus a couple of my own avatars).
Underrated form of intimacy: you listen to me intently as I endlessly rant about crime and punishment to you
I am a bit tired of bi erasure plot lines. I just watched Crashing and I enjoyed it, BUT there is a female character that only dated guys and as soon as others see her kiss a woman they think she is a lesbian and there is a male character that only had sex with women, but others keep saying he is gay and in the closet when to me he seemed pretty attracted to women too. These things would be fine as plot points if it wasn't the constant comments of if they are not straight then they must be attracted to the opposite sex only. Not even a mention of "hey maybe they are bi". None.
It's not the only media that did this. Far from it. It gets exhausting tbh.
