I personally believe (for me) it's a red flag if you Hate Pilby. If they're not your thing, cool whatever, if you're kind of neutral on them, sure, but hate? Actively hate them? Wish them death or removal from the game? You describe your own feelings for them as hatred? That's such a red flag for me. They're just a funky lil dude whose sad because they got fired and their mom is stuck in an alternate dimension that not even Mach can save her from.
Similar if you actively hate Spud/find him really annoying. Like... You find the person with severe brain damage so annoying you wish him death and hate him? PLEASE take a step back away from this. Please.
(generally it's a bit weird to Actively Hate fictional characters in general, but these two stand out to me as such odd ones to actively despise and wish death upon in particular.)

officially beginning my first ever dark (netflix) rewatch and it's already one of my top shows with greatest rewatch value of all time. it's just so satisfying. everything has closure. every character's final destination is spelled out in blaring neon as soon as they're introduced, but you don't even know it. this is one of those rare shows where it actually only gets better as it goes on because it's so immaculately planned and you can only appreciate it fully if you make it to the end
I am a bit tired of bi erasure plot lines. I just watched Crashing and I enjoyed it, BUT there is a female character that only dated guys and as soon as others see her kiss a woman they think she is a lesbian and there is a male character that only had sex with women, but others keep saying he is gay and in the closet when to me he seemed pretty attracted to women too. These things would be fine as plot points if it wasn't the constant comments of if they are not straight then they must be attracted to the opposite sex only. Not even a mention of "hey maybe they are bi". None.
It's not the only media that did this. Far from it. It gets exhausting tbh.
YouTubers that talk about Maul really don't appreciate how much of an insufferable nerd he is.
umm i need reassurance that my presence is wanted but i can’t ask for reassurance because that’s really Embarrassing and it wouldn’t feel genuine if i asked for it

we as a "society" need to stop saying resuscitate and start saying resurrect
they mean the exact same thing but resurrect is objectively cooler

"omg he would never" "no he's a good guy though" "why haven't these women come forward before" "well she's known for being a liar so" "yeah but have you seen the things she used to tweet"
🔹 Saying that it's okay to write or read about dark and taboo topics but only when they're portrayed in a certain way is still censorship.
🔹 Wanting to ban or forbid media that you believe portrays a negative topic in a positive light, by glorifying, romanticizing, or fetishizing it is still censorship.
🔹 There is no objective metric to decide if a story is portraying a negative topic the 'right' way.
🔹 Just because a piece of fiction doesn't explicitly condemn or portray an evil action in a bad light in the text doesn't mean the author thinks its good or is trying to persuade the audience that it is good.
🔹 Survivors of trauma will not always write fiction about their trauma in a way that seems 'right' or 'normal' to you.
🔹 Banning fiction because it portrays dark, taboo topics in a way you consider gross or disgusting is still censorship.
i think someone busting into alastor’s room and he’s doing increasingly weirder things should be a running gag.
i fucking love taking the bus for real. the only thing i love more than taking the bus is taking the train. choo choo am i right. i think most human distress can be alleviated by listening to dramatic music on public transportation.
