NaNoWriMo - Part 1

Slamming your hands down, you decided. This. Is. IT. Because what the heck? Sitting here, in front of your laptop - your trusted friend, pal, and assistant - and all you feel is BETRAYL. How DARE it blink at you with blank page and that stupid cursor letting you know it is ready for text just flashes, reminding you it IS working- 

You just haven’t actually WRITTEN ANYTHING. Top Ten Anime Betrayals, for real. (Except this isn’t an anime and honestly it is your own darn fault but we’re not bringing THAT up.)

Seriously, it’s just TAUNTING you and can’t help but just... shut the computer - possibly a little harder than you should - and just cross your arms as you glare at the offending electronic item with all the anger redirected back towards it. Until the heat within you cools and you admit that, okay, it isn’t REALLY your trusted sidekick’s fault that you have absolutely nothing written down.

The groan that leaves you as you flop forward and just become a puddle of plop was a bit louder than you meant it to be, but you could not stop it. 

How long? How long have you been trying to get this done and try to at least have something to work off of so you could just ... move forward with this mental block? How long have you been trying to get back into the swing of things that once brought you so much joy and you were so overflowing that you couldn’t write things down fast enough.

How long have since you just wung it and did it freeflow and allowed to let the characters take over and all of a sudden there was a twist YOU weren’t expecting but apparently all the characters knew or the clues throughout the story were leading up to it and you just didn’t notice until now.

(Scary how it all worked out sometimes and you wonder what in the world did you do to come up with such.... great timing?)

To answer your own question - a LONG time. You haven’t posted any updates. You barely even have an outline - which you already scrapped by the way because seriously? If anything you feel more pressured to meet it and it wasn’t helping in any sort of the sense - and it just-

The buzzing sound beside your head (which was honestly super loud- man good thing your friends didn’t see how high you jumped. They wouldn’t ever let you live that down) brought you out of your spiraling inner monologue as you turned to looked at the offending flashing being that is rumbling so hard it is getting closer and closer to the edge of your desk. You debate if  you should answer but seeing the name has you sigh and know it is best to answer.

Besides, you missed the dorks.

The dorks being your friends that you haven’t seen in a while in your attempt to actually get stuff done. But now that you think about it, not seeing them may have helped to stifle any sort of creative spark that may have tried to start. They were goofy, loving, brilliant idiots that sometimes were the inspiration for the madness you put onto paper (or type onto the computer - either way).

And so with this, before it falls over the edge, you pick up the phone, sit straight, and prepare yourself for interacting with other people (even if they are your FAVORITE people).

“Hello.”

A pause.

“Hello? HELLO? That’s all I get for doing as you requested and giving you time to do God knows what and holding back a barrage of questions, whining, pining, and doubling down on making EXTRA OF EVERYTHING to distract them from the fact that you are NOT here when they keep begging me to just let them contact you! I - Kim Seokjin - deserve better than just some halfhearted and dead ‘Hello’!”

This fantastically crafted greeting made you laugh loudly and with no restraint. Seokjin heard your laugh and it softened him, made him smile, and soon he was chuckling along. “Okay, now that THAT is out of the way - how are you doing? Are you coming to visit us soon? It’s not the same without you you know,” he calmly stated, balancing his phone between his shoulder and his cheek, so he can listen, talk, and still stir the batter that is in his hands. 

That helped you calm down, though with a huge smile, just remembering the last time you went over. “I’m... I haven’t made any progress,” you admit with a sigh. Best to be honest, because the truth would come out one way or another.

And you didn’t want to hear the retaliation if you didn’t let him know.

Seokjin nods and hums understandingly. “I’m sorry it didn’t help. Why don’t you come over and say hi to everyone and eat. You shouldn’t be working without food. I’m making waffles!”

You perked. You swear there was a small Leslie Knope in you somewhere with how much waffles really makes you perk. “Thanks Donkey,” you reply, trying your best attempt at some sort of Shrek accent. “And that honestly sounds amazing. Yeah, I really miss you guys. Apparently I need you guys in my life. It helps keep me motivated and maybe even fuels some of my creativity.”

That made Seokjin grin. “Good! So head down, and we’ll surprise everyone with your visit. Wait, that might be dangerous-”

“Too late. Has been decided. Be there soon,” you exclaimed, laughing as Seokjin clearly double guessing his suggestions to surprise. But you also knew he would stick with it because you two had already decided.

And will surrender to the loud yelling that will result because of said surprise. 

You found yourself looking forward to seeing them again so much that your heart was working to not tear apart with all the tugging the thought was creating. You missed him. That’s for sure. You cannot fix the blank page issue you currently have, but you can definitely attend to the issue of missing them.

Remedy coming right up!

So it’s come to our attention that a lot of our followers are having a hard time right now.

It’s also come to our attention that a lot of you that are having the rough time are highschool/college students.

Coincidence? We think not.

Life is stressful. When you’re young (highschool/college aged) everything can seem even more stressful. You’re balancing school, grades, work, your parents’ expectations, your own expectations, your social life… It feels like a precarious house of cards that can come tumbling down at any moment.

We just want you to know that it’s okay to not have all the answers. Its okay to be unsure of yourself.

Sometimes it feels like no one understands you and that you’re the only one in the world that is going through this - you’re not.

Things will get better.

This isn’t the end of the world.

Its okay to ask for help.

Its okay to talk out your feelings.

We aren’t medical professionals. We aren’t therapists and we can’t offer advice, but we can listen to you.

We want you to know that you aren’t alone.

No matter how old or young you are. No matter how big or small the issue. You aren’t alone.

The truth is that none of us have the answers. You just have to do your best. Do things that make you happy. Try to enjoy life to the fullest.

NaNoWriMo 2019!~

Ah ha! I have wanted to be more active and such and I think I finally have it. 

I have a series I have been planning forever: What a Cliche. Uses different tropes and pairings. Originally I was going to have them tie together and such, but that was when I had all original characters. Sadly though, I couldn’t get enough mojo to actually work on it and lost allll inspiration.

But this year, I have decided to get kick this slump of many years and just have fun with it instead - I am going to make it fanfic! And it will be BTS related!

I have 7 stories/tropes and the member already planned out! I actually just finished that part about 11 minutes ago - at 1:00AM. 

I am completely excited! I need to finish figuring out planning and prepping if I am going to do any more of that. Because I tend to be more of a write-off-the-seat-of-my-pants type of writer to see how things turn out. 

Plus these are going to be more like short stories because... well.. yeah. xD I don’t see them being multi-chapter really. I am really wordy but we’ll see how that goes. 

So yeah. That is happening this year. And I am aiming to win! And I finally will.... Hopefully. XD
