"oh but I need AI to -" just pick up a pencil and create!!!!! take joy in the act of bringing something out of your brain and into physical space! it doesn't have to be GOOD it doesn't have to be perfect!!!!! JUST CREATE! slap some colours onto a canvas - or a chunk of cardboard or a cool big rock or some wood! abstract or liquid pour or splatters!!!! Use a primary printer pencil or a cheap mechanical pencil or a fancy set of sketch pencils it doesnt matter - just sketch and experiment! Use stuff from the dollar store or even see if your city has an art supply recyle program/depo - mine does! its all pay what you can! its great! paint like a child. paint intutively. go with the flow! get some cheap clay and experiement with random junk around your house for texture making! IT DOENT HAVE TO BE PERFECT OR GOOD IT JUST HAS TO BE FUN!!!!!!! Just experiment with technique and medium until you find something that sparks joy! I promise the act of creation is so much more satisfying for the mind and soul than just typing in a phrase and generating a "pretty picture"

One devastating part of the smb fandom for me is when I follow artists I like and admire in the smb fandom and then one day they post stuff like "I really hate artists who draw [goes on to describe my exact character design]"

It's like being stabbed in the heart every time. I guess everyone has their preferences, I can't fault that. It still hurts for some reason. I know it's not directed at me, just artists with my style in general, but it feels awful each time.

Nah its not rude. Im *trying* to get involved on bluesky. But when I go on there it doesn't feel very active, and I was having a hard time finding people to follow.

I'm very bad with social media. I don't have Facebook, tiktok, twitter (deleted that because of the obvious issues), insta. Nothing.

I am very active on Tumblr and discord, these are my primary outlets. Tumblr feels like a nice little community and one of the last sites that hasn't been taken over by short form video.

Discord is great for small groups for chatting and keeping up with friends.

I got bluesky to post nsfw stuff, but then it felt so empty there, or maybe im just bad at finding a community on bluesky that Ive let it sit collecting dust.

I feel like if I knew more active accounts on there to follow I could possibly get myself more engaged in the app. 😭
