Are you doing whumptober this year?

Hi. It's funny that you ask. If I had answered this yesterday I would have said yes. I have plotted all the fics I was planning to write, but today my answer has changed.

I talked with a friend of mine and she explained an issue with the Whumptober mods and how they have been operating. She had no intention to make me change my mind about doing the event. But, unfortunately, I don't think I will feel up to doing Whumptober until the issue has been resolved. I still intend to post my little fics (fma... I imagine that's what you are expecting me to post.), but I don’t intend to take part in their event, so it will be later. Most of the fics I have planned are fics I already had planned, which is nice.

Thank you for the ask. I'm sorry the answer is likely not what you were hoping for. I do want to write more, but I don’t see myself posting for a couple months while I am working a new job.

I love how Arakawa clearly wrote detailed backstories for her characters and just like… never elaborates on them. I found an old interview where she was asked why she didn’t include a resolution for Hawkeye and Mustangs goals and her response was essentially “cause this story is about Ed :)”

She’s my biggest inspiration.
