I love how Arakawa clearly wrote detailed backstories for her characters and just like… never elaborates on them. I found an old interview where she was asked why she didn’t include a resolution for Hawkeye and Mustangs goals and her response was essentially “cause this story is about Ed :)”
She’s my biggest inspiration.

Things Guiscard knows and what he does not know
As currently known by chapter 121, for the fandom records.
He knows Husrab is supposed to be dead (this is the point I'm absolutely hoping is true). He did not see him, but he must have heard Tahamineh call out and mention him by name in chapter 81. C'mon, Guiscard, I hope you were conscious enough for this!
He knows that magic is real and has heard of Zahhak. Chapter 108
He knows what Isfan looks like (Idk why this is relevant but he does). Chapter 108,109.
He does not know what Hilmes was doing on Mt. Damavand. Chapter 106
He does not know he was supposed to be kidnapped by the sorcerers on the night of Isfan's attack on the Lusitanian camp. Chapter 109
In summary: Guiscard holds some information to what's going on supernaturally, but not all of it. So I still hope to see him in for a nasty surprise. (Did they want to also put his head in a jar?)

So many feelings, so many to discuss. Poor Hilmes, poor, poor Hilmes. And Arslan finally hears the truth, but I think he knows it for a long time deep in his heart. Gieve 😂 everyone is kneeling in front of the queen and you are standing 😂 I love him for his attitude. Isfan my baby boy….a little traitor. I love it!!! Even we didn’t see him in this chapter. Sam looks so lost and empty…empty eyes and very tired. Great chapter. Really really great!

I was thinking the same thing and I absolutely love Gieve for that.
Hieve looks so boring like and it seems that he only kneels before her because everyone else is kneeling and I don’t think that he respected the queen.
I think Gieve is the kind of character who only kneels infront of someone he deeply respects because in the past he kneels in front of Arslan. So I don’t think that royality means a lot for him but the fact that he kneels in front of Arslan is as much respect that you can get from Gieve.

There’s no character I want to hug more than Arslan. Like the poor baby, he basically only had one person growing up that treated him like a son.
No face reveal (yet!) but we did get these glimpses of the Holy Master during the Gotarzes flashback panels while Andragoras was talking. 'The Great King's sorcerer,' eh? He was obviously a trusted figure for Gotarzes, which was a big mistake. I hate that I am now interested in this guy but I am.
