In the video, the vocal trainer (also a CEO of an entertainment agency) praises Jungkook’s vocals, particularly contradicting claims that his singing skill is not at the same level of such vocalists who have traditionally been praised to have strong vocal skills. The vocal trainer says such vocal styles (that bear similarity w/ a certain style of R&B and rock vocals) are in the past (2000’s, 2010’s) and the very reason they were once the standard for good vocals in the first place was because they were popular in those era. But now in this era, popular vocals are much different from those as we can see from the songs in the top ranking of Melon. He points out that Jungkook’s song wouldn’t be sung as well when a vocalist with such different vocal style would try at it. And he also calls out that such assertion are from people who have not been seriously into the business but just boast about what they’re used to from the past
