SO,GUYS I HAVE A THEORY (⚠️TW: probably trigger themes)

The Undertale locations is based on Hell's rings/layers by Dante.

BUT DON'T SCROLL!!!I HAVE LOT'S OF THINGS TO EXPLAIN!

Firstly, that i can think of it's a Snowdin and 9 layer-Treachery.

Because on this layer it's very cold and people buried in ice.And Snowdin it's a cold place too!Then,Sans lives in Snowdin,and he is the hardest boss in whole game.As the "Treachery" level is the most cruel place.

Secondly, Waterfall it's a gluttony/anger.

Arguments in side of gluttony:It says,that punishment on this layer is rotting under the rain and hail.And in Undertale, Waterfall is very rainy place

Arguments in side of anger: The whole anger ring is a Stix lake(or swamp,idk) and Waterfall is a litteral cluster of lakes and rivers.And it's punishment it's a eternal fight,and in the game we fight with Undine.

Thirdly,Hotland is a hell in traditional way of understanding, like fire,lava.

And i can say that Ruins is a limbo,but it's hard to me to find similarities,and I'm just lazy ass :p

And i can add that hell is somewhere in underground and in Undertale we falling underground
