“Is- is Loki wearing... sweats?” Peter whispered to Ned.

It was not a position he ever wanted to be caught dead in, but this was also an emotion Loki never wanted to be caught dead having. Y/n was gone. Gone for almost two weeks now.

And gods help him, he was pining. The longing despair he was feeling was unwelcome and embarrassing.

Because it wasn’t like she was missing. She wasn’t dead, she wasn’t being held captive somewhere, she wasn’t even off world.

No. She was on a business trip. Helping Pepper make her appearances on behalf of Stark Industries.

Yet, he mourned her absence as if she was never coming back from fucking Ohio of all places.

And so, he was not proud of it but he sought the small amount of comfort he could have. He slept in her bed, though they usually spent nights in his. He watched the idiotic Midgardian shows on her “Watch Again?” list on Netflix. And when he was feeling particularly pathetic, he donned her clothes. He’d been so comfortable in the hoodie he had forgotten he was wearing it.

Now he stood in the Tower’s kitchen, frozen, with bubble letters boasting “Melanin Poppin” on his chest in glittery gold. He stared wide-eyed at the two mortals; Peter and Ned. Then his eyes narrowed to slits.

“No one will believe you,” Loki hissed, before grabbing the brown sugar cinnamon Poptarts box (never breaking eye contact) and teleporting back up to your room.

When the PR team arrives five days later from the trip, touching down in the Quinjet, Y/n’s been on solid ground all of eight seconds before arms wrap around her from behind and she hears the word “Mine.”

Then she’s feeling that familiar pull through time and space before she’s in Loki’s suite.

Back on the landing site Sam questions “was he wearing a hoodie?”

Peter just shook his head. “Just forget you saw it man.”
