I hate how pop culture (especially in the internet age,) unintentionally? makes people remember artists or bands or songs or whatever for one piece of media they were in or atleast associated with or hell, just being part of a joke. Imagine being a painter, dedicating time and effort into many very beautiful paintings, for people to only know you as the "John: The Movie painting guy" because one of your pieces was in a movie scene that became a meme, and people don't even care about the rest of your work bc it's not a meme or popular so why should they care?

I'm scared to not only make art and put my original characters and worlds and whatnot out onto the internet, but to also have it be discovered and have a following. Not because the internet hates sincerity and genuine passion (cringe culture is NOT dead,) bc honestly fuck the haters.
I'm scared bc I know some of you fuckers (general) will see the edgy looking man who's too caught up in vengeance to care about love and think "he should get together with his twin sister that's pretty much his exact opposite and already infatuated with her boyfailure friend, that would be hot i think."
