can i ask a very random question? what are your thoughts on fictional idols being in a relationship / friendship with irl idols? from what i've seen so far, it seems like most people just interact with their mutuals' ocs for asks and lore or their own ocs if they make several groups.

i'm curious because i'm just starting out in this community and this lil fact got my attention. ofc there are some creators who actively write lore with their ocs' irl idol parters or friends but it seems to be rarer. ( personally for me, if i were to associate my oc with another creator's — say they're dating — it'd be lil confusing cuz i cannot possibly grasp their character's full essence in the way only they can so solo scenarios become nearly out of the question )

rpf is pretty common in the fic! i know people typically interact with others ocs but people also write about real idols as well! i do agree that is a bit more rare now but back in the day it really wasn't. i started venus because originally they were made for a mark lee fanfic skdjndsjs

personally when my ocs are dating other ocs, shout out clover and closure, we write together in a discord server! i don't consider it rp as we're both writing way too much for it to be considered so, editing the works, and publishing it but i can see how some people would consider it rp but that's just how i do things and what works best for me! plus, it's very fun to write with you mutuals!
