Concept: Yuuri's out with Viktor one day when he overhears some fans who recognized them.

"It's so unfair, I want a boyfriend like that too!" "Yeah, it's not fair that he gets to keep him, I'm so jealous!"

He gets a little flustered but also feels smug, being know as the man who stole Viktor Nikiforov from the world is honestly satisfying. But the fans keep talking.

"Right? Yuuri's so beautiful and sweet and talented, and Viktor gets to spend every minute with him, the lucky bastard!"

Yuuri spits the hot chocolate he was drinking and has a coughing fit.

Episode 2

oh my god VICTOR IS VICCHAN!!! i remembered vicchan as the doggo

victors voice has much more variety, most notably it switches back and forth between a cutesy voice and a classic yaoi seme voice. Personally i still prefer the way his dub voice sounds tbh

Victor sounds like such a tourist in the sub lol

why does 10 y/o yurio sound older than 15 y/o yurio lol

yurio sound much more calm and collected somehow

in dub it's a battle between russia and japan, in sub it's just yuri VS yuri

the sad music hits much harder

Rewatching Yuri on ice subbed for the first time

i've only watched the sub when the anime was ongoing and then remained dub only bc i had a strong preference for dub, rewatching the anime dubbed countless times to the point of having every dubbed line memorized but never having watched the sub a second time.

here's what i notice rewatching the sub after 8 whole years;

Episode 1

Yuri sounds significantly more anxious in sub compared to dub

Mari feels/sounds kinda harsh and lowkey pessimistic/realistic during her first apperance in sub while during the same scene in dub she feels/sounds supportive and warm.

Minako and Yuris parents are the exact same in both sub and dub so far

WHATS WITH YUUKOS TOMBOY VOICE????? legit took me by surprise because she has such a cutesy voiced in dub OMG -love her tomboy voice in sub tho-

the triplets sound much older in sub than they do in dub lol

watching this subbed makes the ED feel even more nostalic ;A;
