James Franco is misunderstood. I think hes a genius, and proves that actors can be artistic and do different things. One of the things I like about him is he is very honest, and actually interested in people. I think this is what makes him such a conscious artist (as opposed to pretentious). I don't feel strange for trying to do too much now. Performance art is my newest fancy, Miranda July is my guide.

This video by Friends is so nostalgic. I love the soft dreamy look of it. If one band has a Brooklyn sound and vibe its this one. I'm guessing it was filmed on a Super 8 camera with some crazy special effects.
I miss tea and scones from London. I studied abroad in Cardiff last year, and every time I would visit my boyfriend in London, I had to get afternoon tea. There is this great place called Bea's of Bloomsbury in Islington. Their tea was served with warm scones and fresh clotted cream. The place literally had three tables so It was always a wait to sit down, but soo worth it.

I love the lazy laid back feel of this video. I can relate to feeling unable to be productive because I am too busy thinking about someone else, and recalling events over and over again. You become addicted to feeling that way again, and it becomes an escape from reality. You wonder, why doesn't he like me? How could one not like me? The video captures this perpetual state of insecurity perfectly with its isolated suburb settings and the characters' lack of direction. The juxtaposition of shots makes it seem like the characters are in the same setting, but in reality he is in the wilderness, and she is in her house. In the end they switch settings. Their relationship is out of sync.
