I feel like too often we are not sufficiently focused on actually solving problems, because we’re too wrapped up in (1) whether we are right or (2) whether we can enforce our view of morality (or (3) our power fantasies)

I have been cantor at one of the Sunday masses at our local Cathedral since shortly after my conversion, and today our priest pulled me aside and told me he wants me to be music coordinator for the Cathedral.

Please keep me in your prayers, that God might equip me to perform this ministry to His Glory. St. Cecilia, pray for us.

Prayer request - just got a call that my dad got hit by a car while out on his bike. Very limited information at this stage, he’s at the ER and apparently coherent, but I am worried and there’s not much I can do right now except pray.
