Manga sniffling and trying not to cry as Kendo approaches him and tells him that it's over, it's finally over, there's no more war. And it just makes him cry more as he shakes his head and tells him it's not that he's scared for himself, or happy it's over- it's about Monoma. He's not okay.

Kendo, Manga, Pony, and Awase racing down the hallways of a very busy hospital, fitting in with the running around doctors, trying to treat the patients from a war just ended. They're stopped a few times, being told that some of them clearly need medical attention and to sit tight, but the doctors are shaken off saying they're just trying to get to room 4307. They're told that room is busy and cannot be disturbed, the doctors are shaken off.

The four of them making it to the room at just the worst time. Pony opens the doors in a panic, trying to find her friend. She and the others are being forcibly removed because it is not a good time for them to come in. They try and fight their way in the room, with the door still open, and they can hear the loud screeching flatline. Awase stops in his tracks as the sounds enters his ears, Manga freezes, his face blank. Pony knows what that means but she forces herself to not believe it, believe that's for someone else, some poor other soul, and Kendo, who fought the least because she understood the predicament the hospital- along with every other hospital- is dealing with, begins to fight her way into the room. She needs to see him, she's the class prez dammit! She's carried out over a pro's shoulder, the others not carries away so differently, as she reaches her hand out trying to grab at the doorframe and pull herself towards him.

Vlad King rushing into the hospital and looking over at the waiting room chairs to see four of his students sitting in them, all of them with different expressions. Kendo is curled up in her chair, her face not even visible, Awase is leaned against her with his arms wrapped around her and tears spilling from his eyes. Manga is full on sobbing, unable to control himself. And Pony staring into space, limbs limp but eyes puffy and red. None of them notice their Homeroom teacher in front of them and Vlad decides that's for the best as he rushes off again to Monoma's room, hoping what he was told isn't true. Hoping he doesn't have to re-enter the waiting room space just to make this other students cry even more.

whenever you text him "i love you" he acts as if its the most obvious thing in the world and acts all high and mighty about it when really he's giggling and kicking his feet.

he loves spending time with you, texting you to come over to his dorms or on a small date outside campus whenever your schedules are free.

pays attention to every detail and makes sure you have a fun time.

gets a bit jealous at times when you're busy with your class instead and will be a drama queen about it.

is an avid twitter user. 

you’d log onto your twitter account just to see him arguing with someone again. 

before you two began dating, he used to have a secret class 1a slander account. it was never that serious, just some snarky comments here and there. most people suspected that it was monoma but they never really had any solid proof.

however, all their suspicions were confirmed one day when monoma admitted that he had a crush on you and accidentally posted it on his slander account instead of his private one which had only his close friends in it. (a/n: been laughing about this for too long bye)

he deleted the entire account in panic before you could see it 🤗🤗🤗.

he posts regularly on instagram, mostly a story spammer. posts you a lot too!

whenever you post on instagram, best believe he will be the first to like, favorite, repost and comment. biggest fan ever fr.

he will proceed to boast and ramble about you all day to his classmates and friends.

would get embarrassed if any of them told you about it though.

"HEY L/N!!" a voice called from behind you, making you turn around. "oh hi tetsu! what's up?" you say as the boy flashes you a mischievous grin. "did you know our dear monoma over here has been talking about you all day? like, seriously man non stop-" tetsutetsu began before he was cut off by monoma harshly slapping a hand over his mouth, "HAHAHAHA THERE YOU ARE TETSU! OUR TEACHER IS ALREADY HERE WE SHOULD GET GOING YEAH, LET'S GO!", he exclaimed hurriedly before dragging tetsutetsu inside the classroom with him, leaving you stranded and giggling in the hallway.

I have been so obsessed with Monoma's last appearance in chapter 416. I've returned to this chapter at least 5 times.

Not only is it painful to see Monoma (a usually confident and energetic guy) lying in such a vulnerable position on the stretcher, but we see Manga with him. Monoma's fellow classmate, also half-alive, begging him to live on. It's such a small panel, but making the person with him a 1B student instead of just another pro hero/background character is such a nice addition.

It makes me so happy to see the relationship between Monoma and his 1B classmates outside of the light novels, but it hurt since we're only seeing this when Monoma's injured. In the main series, we barely if not never see anything that shows the relationship between Monoma and his classmates (It's largely just them telling Monoma he's bothering 1A). Even in the light novels, the respect and love 1B has towards Monoma is written but unsaid in dialogue/said when he is away. So I am so grateful we're finally getting dialogue on Monoma's (positive) peer relationships, albeit small, from here.

(This turned out longer than I expected. I just wanted to talk about Monoma and friends. Tune in next week for me talking about Monoma in a stretcher + how it shows his character growth ...or something.)

Monoma Neito Crushing On 1-A!Reader

A/N: I hope you like it!! This was such a cute prompt idea!

Neito isn’t aware that he likes you at first. He teases you more often than the other class members and he makes a point to stand close to you- to invade your personal space and smile as he does so. He doesn’t realize he has a crush until Itsuka mentions the crush in passing. He stops in his tracks and he’s distracted for the rest of the day and every time he catches a glimpse of you, he catches himself staring.

Classes are done for the day and for whatever reason both 1-A and 1-B have decided to share the common room and just relax as people joke around and talk to each other. It’s a simple night where people are in their pajamas and everyone gets to act like a kid for once.  

You happen to be sitting at a table where Eijiro and Tetsutetsu are at. They’re loud and talking with each other that you’re only half paying attention to, your full attention on a comic. It’s a simple night where you aren’t too worried that Neito will run his mouth with how close Itsuka is.

But then again, that never stopped him in the past.

You don’t really mind his insults. They aren’t even insults most of the time- just truths that are stated harshly. You have to agree that 1-A does attract trouble and fellow classmates seem to aggravate said trouble. In the end, you just listen to him, sparing him a glance and cutting him off mid-sentence as you invite him to the vending machine, telling him you’ll cover for his snacks this time, if he does the same for you next time. You like to think it’s a friendship. Especially when he grumbles and follows you and sits next to you munching on his chips.

The next day, you always find the snack you bought on your desk without a note and the rest of the class not knowing where it came from.

However, now he bears no gift and talks loudly. And he slips. He calls your face pretty and follows it with an insult to your class and everyone stops talking. All eyes are darting between you and him and you’ve stopped reading the comic, looking up at him with wide eyes and he hasn’t caught himself. He continues to talk, a smug look on his face and then he’s interrupted by Katsuki.

Katsuki has no filter. And with how they both have a distaste for each other- Katsuki sees it as the perfect chance to knock him down a peg. He repeats the phrase loudly and it causes Neito to stop talking and when he realizes what exactly he said, he can’t help but stop the blush that fills his cheeks and it only fuels Katsuki to egg him on further. And that’s when Katsuki realizes that he has a crush on you- a student from 1-A.

Neito denies it immediately. Shaking his head and his composure is lost in a matter of seconds. It’s a bit painful to watch as he starts to grow a bright red, a nervous laughter that bubbles past his lips and then his eyes meet yours and he looks awfully flustered and he returns his look to Katsuki who has a smug grin which is returned with a sneer and he walks away.

Neito is mortified. He had only known he liked you because Itsuka and the others wouldn’t stop cooing at how cute you looked today and how cute you looked together but to have everyone else hear that because some prick wanted to embarrass him and he feels awful. You were there and you didn’t do anything. That was probably the worst part.

The common room is quiet and in unison, everyone turns their head towards you. You immediately direct your attention to Katsuki and slap his arm. You tell him to apologize tomorrow or else. It’s a thinly veiled threat with no real plan but you’re sure you can figure something out. He merely rolls his eyes and before he can offer a poor excuse, you leave to go find Neito.
