This is literally my favourite thing in the world.
one of my favorite fucking feelings in the world is when you’re having a discussion with somebody about literature and themes and storytelling and etc or even just like, your feelings, and as you’re rambling on about the interpretation of something-or-the-other you have this lightbulb moment where two ideas connect in your head all of a sudden and you couldn’t have done it without the context of another person there and you both get so excited about this new theory you’re developing
like. collaboration. trust. complexity. awakenings. this shit isn’t just analysis, it’s art.
I agree. I love the second one because it shows the whole range of human skin colours instead of just two.
as a gay poc, imma be honest. i dont like the most commonly used poc flag
i really like what this flag represents. poc represent a huge portion of the gay community, but design wise it has a lot of issues. for one, poc come in more than just one color. we are hugely diverse and the two stripes dont cut it. not all poc are dark brown. which is why i think this one should be used more.
(flag made by @shamelessfancies !)
i love how it shows that lgbt poc come in all skin tones, and especially during pride month i think we should use this one more since its indigenous people’s history month as well, and a lot of indigenous people like myself dont have particularly dark skin. i think both flags represent great things, but the second is even better.
Exactly. In my opinion, people who are stereotypically ‘ugly’ are way more beautiful, simply because they are genuine.
why dont we ever talk about how movies condition girls to associate glasses and curly hair with ugliness because that is so fucking damaging to young girls who grow up seeing girls who look like them always be the “before” of every makeover
Has anyone else noticed the similarities in plot between the last two books of ATWQ and Northern Lights by Philip Pullman? Girl’s parent turns out to be villainous scientist, kidnaps large bunch of children into experimental station, boy is kidnapped, girl rescues him by infiltrating experimental station under a false name and plotting with some of the other kidnapped children, secretly keeps plot-crucial item she wishes to deliver to sinister parent in bag she always carries. The primary difference is that when Ellington hands over the statue to Hangfire, it is ultimately Lemony who ends up killing him, whereas in Northern Lights when Lyra gives the Alethiometer to Lord Asriel, he ends up killing Roger.
Stated watching the good place already in the second season and the only thing I can think about is the fucking sexual tension between Eleanor and Tahani
